Yes, I'm 24 going on 25 and I still sleep with stuffed animals. I was very attached to my baby blankie growing up, never letting a single hole or stain ruin it, and slept with it every night until 8th grade when I realized it was fading, so I carefully tucked it away in my mom's treasure chest. Shortly after, I was out shopping and walked out of the Disney store with Simba and Nala stuffed animals as a replacement to the baby blankie. Over the years, I've acquired many stuffed animals as well as a body pillow that I alternate with as well.

It's not so much a need for a "security blanket", but it feels unnatural to sleep without holding something, like my arms are in strange angles without it, and it's nice to hold onto something that's soft and fluffy. No one has ever made fun of me, although a couple people have found it odd without saying anything, and a few people have even offered their own stuffed animal or small pillow if I have forgotten mine at sleepovers.

Does anyone else sleep with a stuffed animal or some kind of body pillow?

I do... I have a stuffed animal that my father's mom gave him in 1956 when he was born. I have a Blue Clue stuffed animal that I had plus a pretty blanket that is in bed with me everywhere I go. I also still have every stuffed animal I was ever given.

Lark, I'm 62 going on 63 and sleep with my stuffed cat (as well as the five live ones!) Some times I need to cuddle him for comfort. Some times it's like you said, I just want to wrap my arms around something.

Does my husband count? Jk.

I'm over 50, still have my baby blanket, and occasionally still sleep with it.

I think its very cute. Especially if the stuffed animal is a bear. A lovable, huggable bear.
I have always slept with two pillows. One for my head and the other to hold.
I pretend like im cuddling with someone I love.
As someone with "Self-Deserting" Avoidant Personality Disorder, we develop idealized fantasy relationships with other people.
My second people has always represented that person.
She is soft and sweet and never has an unkind word to say.
Hopefully someday soon I wont need that second pillow anymore.

I have a Pikachu pillow, I bought many years ago, because I like the way it felt and it cooled down quick on those hot summer nights. Does that count?

I used to, when I was a teenager, because my Mom prematurely removed them from our beds at night, and wouldn't allow us to have them after a certain age...so I fought back and started collecting them one at a time.

I still do pick up the odd cute stuffed toy or pretty pillow.

And now, I suffer from periodic back, hip, and knee problems, and find it helps to have some extra pillows to hug and to curl up around, to keep myself aligned and comfortable. Plus, I am just a hugger by nature (and certain people in my life, sadly, are not.).

Sorry, I hate when parents do that. What's wrong with having something you like or that comforts you?

for iphone:

It was a confusing time, when lots of different psychologists vied to be in the forefront of child psychology.

I s'pose they thought it would be good for us, somehow...but all it really did was make us (esp. my brother and I) feel less-loved, and strengthened the notion that affection was purely an infantile need. I grew up getting very few hugs, kisses, validation, or compliments, in general.

It didn't amount to out and out abuse; but it certainly wasn't ideal, either.

When I have trouble sleeping I curl up with my pooh bear that I have had for thirty years. He is worn down but still very comforting and helps to calm me down.

I don't always hug it but I do have one in my bed. I'm 20.

Well, one - two. One my best friend gave me and one she made herself and gave me. I wrap them in a towel with the ends sown together so they don't get dirty.

For a while when I was doing really badly depressionwise I would carry them everywhere.

That brings back memories. When I was going through my worst time I'd snuggle my then baby daughter on one side and my pooh bear on the other. I've lost him somewhere along the way. I think I'll get another.
