playing with plastic ponies IMG INTENSIVE

My favorite hobby is collecting model horses, plastic, resin and china. They bring me lots of pleasure admiring the intricacies of their workmanship. Some of them have western and english saddles. Occasionally I take them to shows where we place them on the table and compete in halter for realism for breed portrayed and performance (my favorite). Here are a few images of a few of my favorites.

I just saw this post...I was reading your post about your horse being your happiness & then decided to check out some of your other posts & found this.

How awsome.....these not live ponies are gorgeous....don't you just wish you could blink or twitch your nose & they would come alive????...lol.

I too am a horse/pony lover with a filly that is now 3 years old & the love of my life. I actually have 3 horses right now & do dressage riding. I always loved horses, but my parents would never buy me one. When my depression hit after loosing my career, the Dr's told me to get something I always loved into my life.....that was when I got back into dressage riding (hadn't done it since college) & then bought my first horse (who is now 28 years old....was 16 when I got him).

I know when my foal was born & I was there about 2 hours after she was born, I found out what real love & happiness was. I never imagined it possible to bond to a horse this way or have her bond the way she has with me. At 17 hands high, she is the sweetest gentle giant I will could ever have had come into my life.

I completely understand your love of horses & how much happiness & love can exist between us & them.

eskielover, I envy you being able to ride dressage. I don't have good coordination or balance and success to me is keeping the horse between me and the ground LOL.

You are so right about horses being true love. Since my life experiences I no longer trust people but I find my horse very consistent and trustworthy. Not that he doesn't have his moods. My horse can be stubborn. When I first got him he didn't want to leave the barn for a ride on the trail and would circle around and we got nowhere. I find patience works better than trying to force horses so I shut the paddock gate to the barn and sat on him while he looked longingly at the barn and never prodded him to go but just waited. After about 10 minutes he let out a big long sigh and I knew he was ready and turned him and never had that problem again.
