This was my inspirational tattoo and the first one I got.
I had a small semi colon worked into it.
Really nice, fishin'.

I have a small one. I just drove over to a local place and it was empty. I explained what I wanted and he went in the back and came out a few minutes later with his interpretation.
Then he did it.

I was with a friend and she had something done, too and I could tell it was painful for her.

I absolutely loved it. I didn't want it to end, frankly...It's not like "regular" pain...

I was planning on getting a barbed wire tattoo on my left leg after I recovered from stuff. My leg was amputated so it isn't possible anymore (nor have I "recovered" unless you count removing the problem through amputation as recovery).

I have 10 tattoos ranging from very painful to euphoric. It depends on the location, size, if it's color, etc. But they are worth every second of pain. I love my tattoos and I think they are gorgeous on other people.

Now that I think about it I guess all my tattoos are inspirational and have a lot
of meaning to me as I guess all tattoos should have to the person who wears them.

My new tattoos that I will get on Thursday tell a personal story. So yes, I agree. They are inspirational. I hope that every time I look down at them I will remember who I am, and where I came from, and where I am going.

I'll be (enviously) thinking of you. And hoping it's pain free or not too bad or downright enjoyable

Report back?

Tattoos are expensive for someone on a budget but I want to get something similar to this, over my heart, in memory of my daughter, Angel:
Tattoos

My other ideas include a quote of some sort, a Bob's Burgers tattoo and maybe the Baby Phat logo. But that one is the most important.

Everyone is different and every area is different but id say it should be pretty easy. I've got 11 tatoos and the worse one was the one on the top of my foot.
Thanks for this!

Think about what you love and what gives you inspiration then look
for ideas or similar tattoos on line.

Here is a beautiful tattoo idea. It is in the American traditional style and is the
gypsy (head) tattoo. It has very deep meaning behind it and is very common
among nautical themed tattoo. It is usually worn by people who don't conform
or fit into the world around them just like real gypsies and just like many who
suffer from MI. You can read online about how deep the meanings can be.
I also think they make beautiful tattoos and will probably add it to may arm one
of these days soon. It is also a tattoo for men and women.

Does the combination of a compass and a rose have a special meaning?

It's original meaning was for good luck for the sailors that wore them.
Don't know why the compass and the rose but it is a design thats been
around for many many years. Today like almost all old school sailor
tattoos they have many meanings to the people that wear them.
It could be someone who has sort of wandered through life and is
looking for direction and it even has meaning to lots of people with MI.
My anchor has that double meaning for me, I love being on the water
but the anchor also reminds me to try and stay grounded while dealing
with my mental health issues.
