Today is one year exactly since the thousand year flood. I still have not recovered completely from those damages and it is raining a LOT!
There are flash flood warnings for the creek beside my house. At least last year we had daylight to evacuate but it is dark and hard to see how fast the waters are rising. I still have electric. If I stop posting it is likely because I lost electric. I am finding it hard to concentrate and I'm checking the creek every ten minutes. Please send good thoughts my way.

It is an hour past when the flash flood warning ended. We are now downgraded to a flash flood watch. I have my emergency supplies ready to travel.
This seems like a good time for a xanax. G'nite, all.

Ah yes, the other side of the same storm that hit us. We had the flash flood warning. It was pouring. I am thnkful my creek is at the far end on my 10 acre farm & down a huge slope & through my woods. I was worried about the mother raccoon & her 5 babies but they were safe & sound. They came out to play after the storm.
Glad you were safe through this. It is a scary feeling.
