Saffas beating the Poms.
Not worthy of a RWC final. Where is the running game? Where are the ingenious plays? Where are the hot men? (Jonny Wilkinson is like a real live Ken doll) This totally sucks. I feel ripped off. I got up to watch a world class final, not a boring game of pansies and frequent shots of the Princes. On another note, the All Blacks were offered grief counselling after losing to France. What is the sporting world coming to?

England still play the staid style of rugby they did to win the last cup.
The Saffas certainly did deserve to win But you have to hand it to the Argentinians in 3rd place - they have so much heart (and are so so hot!!!!) It seems like you have a bit of a bee in your bonnet there jinny ... |

Sorry you feel the game was boring and not worthy of a RWC win. At least you mention that Saffa's deserved to win.
You ask "where are the hot men?" Somehow, I don't think that is what the sport is about. I am a South African. And rightfully proud!

eh? what sport? ;-) I think that the teams that did well should enjoy feeling proud of them! They came through on the day, they surely surely did. It should keep our southern hemisphere ego's in check ;-) And help promote the sport in those countries (like how Australia's recent performance helped promote European Football in Australia). It is just... Tragic... From a NZ point of view in particular because it is our number one game. The game that we most care about and (lets face it) we don't compete well internationally very much so our performance in rugby was a huge source of national pride. Australians are a little more ambivalent about it... Regional divisions in whether you care about Aussie Rules or League or Rugby Union, so they probably aren't taking it as hard as we Kiwis are. Also... We were predicted to win! Wah! Seriously, though. Well done. |

I am not exaggerating, Keith Barnes was actually censured over 2 of the key decisions he made (sending off one of our players and not ruling a French forward pass that lead to a try). The issue of how he was selected for a quarterfinal has, I believe, been lengthily discussed by the IRB. At the very least, ABs and RSA would have met in the semi final, and at least it would have been a better game than the farcial dry as dishwater aerial air hockey that was played in the final. As for whoever deserved to win, the Argentinians were the only players with any sort of heart in the entire QFs and beyond. In four years' time, I predict them to win
