I recently created a LinkedIn profile and am new to it. I got curious to see who else from school I knew was on LinkedIn and viewed many people I knew. Come to find out, I was unaware that users that you view on this damn website get notified exactly WHO viewed your profile. Well, I viewed one of my ex girlfriend's current boyfriend since he popped up on LinkedIn, and now he's notified I viewed his page.

I wouldn’t worry very much about this. I don’t look to see who is looking at my profile. I did when I was looking for a job.
You can change your privacy settings so people can’t know you are looking, but it doesn’t really work that well. They still know someone at your company looked at them |

Yes, you can change the privacy settings so that you view people anonymously. This time, you cannot do anything about it, but for next time if you want to look, that's what I would do. They may not even notice, as Key Tones pointed out. I only look to see who has viewed me when I am job seeking. Just chalk it up to a lesson learned. Hopefully they won't notice, but if they do, ahhhhh well. You were curious and not necessarily stalking. Many people do this. (((((hugs))))))
