Shopping is mostly done. I have a couple of small things for the husband and gift cards for the kids. Then it's four weeks of waiting...

Almost all of it was done online. I think we were in the store for one present, but that was well before the holiday rush. It's funny because I had to break down a bunch of Amazon boxes to make room for the tree.

Most of my shopping was done online and the presents are wrapped in bags and boxes.

I love shopping on EBay now that I can't get around too well.

I haven't a clue what to get my daughter. Anyone have an idea what to get for a 30 year old woman?

I'm getting my daughter's family a gift card for target....they can pick out what they want or need. My grandson is so hard to shop for cause he has everything.

I ordered a window catcher for mum, she likes them and there's not much else she wants as she's almost 90 this year.

The rest of the gifts are for the $1 exchange. Everybody brings a dollar gift wrapped up and we put them in the center and shake dice. When you get doubles you pick a prize. Everyone shakes until they have a gift then we go a few extra rounds and those who get doubles can exchange a gift with a person. It's just a fun thing. I bought two extra gifts I case somebody forgets. So my shopping this year is light. One of my gifts is a pickle ornament. Apparently it's a German tradition to hang one on the tree, I thought that would be fun.

Yes, I have a pickle ornament too from Germany. As I understand it they serve as a reminder of some story involving St Nicholaus and rescuing children from a pickle cask. As explained to me one is traditionally hung on the tree Christmas Eve and the child who finds it gets some sort of present. Perhaps someone who knows more about this can elaborate.
Thanks for this!

Oh wow. I didn't even know the pickle ornament had any meaning. I have two on my tree. I thought it was just a funny thing to hang on the tree.

That's a great idea! I brought it to the attention of my friends.

I struck gold yesterday.

came across a 25 cd set of the bradshaws (old radio programme), for only £130

I love the bradshaws and didn't even know they sold the box set, so I ordered it.. and now await it

it will be good

I love Christmas; the festive season gives me the chance to make delicious things for friends and family. Those with a sweet tooth, I make chocolate truffles, and those who love things to keep I'll make a Christmas wreath to hang on their door.

My sisters 13 and 16 are getting excited, and are writing a list for Santa. I'm looking forward to what they will be requesting. I bet it will be an iPad, or the latest phone or phablet, and I'll bet on it!

I am very surprised by what I was able to get my parents for Christmas. I was very worried about not having anything to give them, now they're getting a few things they really wanted. The big surprise for my dad is a new Weber and all the essential grilling "tools" he uses. I can't wait to reveal it to him!

Does anyone else get Christmas present "OCD"? Like, do you need to have your loved ones open presents in a certain order? I do that, and it drives me crazy when I do that. I hate doing that because it means either giving them out in a matter of "importance" and to find the "flow" in how I think they will be "received", aka much like the "oohs and aahs" of 4th of July fireworks. It drives me nuts to think I have to worry about handing out presents a certain way. I know for sure I have to do the weber last because I couldn't wrap it. And then there's the convectional oven which is wrapped but very heavy, and then there's the mirrors and the artwork I have to take care of. Oh! It's driving me nuts.

All the shopping is done. Just need to put together the gift cards for the stockings. Yay!

Another week of physical therapy, picking up meds, and medical appointments, and I am so done. But wait, there's lots of cooking...

Everything is done, all wrapped and waiting under the tree except for the target gift card.
