My personal childhood favorite was the Oregon Trail. I used to write stories in the journal, and try to get as much as I possibly could and be so well off by the time I arrive. There was one character who looked just like my dad!

Cool! My favorite RPG was Ys Book I & II. It's a classic. My favorite villain in it was Dark Fact.

Id say Star Ocean Till the End of Time and Star Ocean The Last Hope are my favs. Then theres my all time fav Xenogears

Ooh, always so hard to pick a top three. So it's a little arbitrary. But these had the some of the most memorable influences:

Star Ocean was a Super Famicom game, wasn't it? Seems like I remember that someone did a translation patch for it but, I'm not sure.

Star Ocean Till the End of Time and Star Ocean The Last Hope are two of my absolute favorites as well. In fact, Star Ocean 3 was the first JRPG that I ever played, though I slightly preferred the fourth game overall.
