Going to get my nails done Friday. Has anyone tried the SNS acrylic stuff or whatever it is? I usually just get reg acrylic but don't want to mess up my nails that much. Just getting them done cause I want to look somewhat put together for my inlaws. The place said it'd be $35. I think acrylics are $30 so I think it's worth the extra $5. Another option would be a gel set but I know that's even more expensive.

I'm not the type to get my nails done a lot anymore. I usually just go get a pedicure when my toes hurt. My husband said I could get them done though, I think he feels bad that I've been a bit depressed.

Hi Moreta, I have had times in my life when I was getting my nails done. I've always had fiberglass or gel. I was always told that acrylic was of a lesser quality. But SNS seems to be something different than the traditional acrylic. I'm really curious about it.

I love the way gel looks, and was told/read that it doesn't destroy the nails. Well, that was very untrue. Gel completely ruined my nails...it took at least 18 months for them to restore. Fiberglass was nearly as bad.

I'm intrigued by the SNS, though. I'd love to know how you like it, and please take a picture to post here!

Enjoy getting your nails done

Apparently the acrylic or whatever they use is colored so they don't actually have to paint your nails. It's always the worst sitting there at the end waiting for nails to dry. I'll let you know how it goes and post a pic. All of my nails are brittle so I'm not that worried about destroying them, they already are. :P well except my thumb nails. Sometimes I can grow my nails out but right now they aren't cooperating. I'm planning on getting red if they have it.

Thanks for this!

Yeah I did. They came out nice. Got complemented on them by my inlaws. I think they took less time than acrylics too.
