Morning all! So, I know it is cliche but I guess today is as good a time as any to start new habits. I have actually started a "pledgecast" on YouTube to keep myself accountable with my "new years" resolution that I have wanted to put into action for most of this year. I may not keep posting the videos because it is scary to put yourself out there but I am starting to think that is to be the second part of my resolution. Take scary steps to make new friends, meet people and allow people to actually 'see me'! I could feel it starting quite naturally and signing up to this forum was the first step. Thank you for welcoming me here New year, new you???
Hugs from:

Hi there. The first step is always the hardest. Just force yourself to do it. Lots of ways to meet new people IRL. Meetup.com, local clubs and societies , local sportscentre, just going for a walk and saying 'hi' to people. Just try not to get discouraged. I find a fair number of people in todays society aren't particularly friendly, for whatever reason, but make eye contact, smile, be cheerful and hope for the best, good luck.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. Good idea about meetup.com. I may try that in the next few days. Maybe a dog walking group or knitting because I like that too New year, new you???
