So what are you plans for new year? I just stay in on watch the countdown on TV because I don't like socialising also I don't drink. I usually do a buffet for myself, hubby and kids.

My wife & I will just sleep it in.
 In my experience, the new year has a way of showing up whether I'm awake to see it in or not...

I'll be another watching the countdown on tv. It promises to be very very cold so I won't be going out to get supplies. No little chip and dip stuff for us this year.

I never do anything on New Year's Eve. I don't like being out on the streets with people driving ui. I'll stay home with my cats and reassure them when jerks let off loud fireworks. I'll read or paint. I have Hanukkah, Christmas, my birthday, and the New Year in December...by now I'm holiday'd out.

I don't celebrate new years for personal reasons. We are going to have nachos, watch a movie with the kids and go to bed nice and early.

We normally have a family party on Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) but we are just having nibbles (snacks) and maybe some drink. My Mum is in the hospital has been since 21st Nov she had a stroke so it's weird not having her here and quite upsetting for us all.
On New Year's Day I partake in a tradition in Scotland called The New Year Dook which is I jump into the River which is freezing cold. I do it for charity as do many others. We've been lucky it's never been icy cold but this year I fear it will be. Our temperatures have been as low as -6 oops! Hogmanay and New Year's we'll be visiting my Mum. Visiting times are 1-8pm so we'll be there twice and going to my Brothers for New Year's Day dinner |

I'll be skiing in 12 degree weather (BRR!) then seeing a concert!!

Gonna hang out with the family. My dad got crab legs and my mom just had foot surgery, so we'll probably just lay on the couch and eat crab legs

I'm moving house in 6 days so I've been packing, packing, packing. I'm really not in the mood for going out.
I'm taking my kids to see Wonder tonight. Then my bf and I will take a stroll across to the pub and maybe have a drink or two to say Happy New Year

I'm staying inside watching tv and surfing the internet. I am doing well. Tomorrow, I will sleep late. Then, I will think about doing some work like chores for the next day.

The neighbors will be setting off all manner of fireworks, hopefully nothing worse! So it's sedatives for my dog and hanging out on the couch watching tv with the Christmas lights on and perhaps a glass of wine.

We're awaiting news about whether or not we're going to be having company over tonight!
It's nearly minus thirty •C so we won't be going anywhere except staying home! We'll stay up as late as we can but highly doubt we'll make it to the clock rolling over the midnight hour! I'll be here. It's kind of funny. The past 2 New Year's Eves I've spent out and about having fun or working a NYE party. Tonight I'll be at home...although I'm feeling like I'm in dire need of snacks, and there is no alcohol in the house. Oh well...I just wish I had some ham. I wonder if the grocery is even still open. I could go get some snacks.
