Thanks everyone. I'm hoping to suprise my friend with it tonight if I have time to wash them this afternoon. She rides the bus to school and work, and the set is really warm.

Hey good for you. They look pretty good. What a good surprise. My girlfriend did that to me years ago,. She had made bread wreaths and sewed big bows. As she finished and we had tea she then handed it to me and said Merry Christmas. I was so surprised and touched. I have never forgotten that precious moment. I 'm sure your friend will feel the same.

BEAUTIFUL JOB! I hope your friend thinks of you every time she wears these-winter'll be here soon!

I recently made baby blankets for an acquaintance expecting twin girls anytime now; after she opened them, she said how much she appreciated them since her grandma doesn't do handcrafts anymore. That made me feel very special!

Keep up the good work! You'll find it's relaxing, therapeutic and will teach you LOTS OF PATIENCE-knitting has done that for me!

Peace,

OCD chick

Thanks! I gave it to her last night and she LOVED it. She promptly put it on and I got a cute pic of her wearing it. She's so excited; she kinda thought it might be for her when she saw me making it so she pleasently correct!

Thanks guys!

I'm working on a blanket now for a woman who wants to pay me to make her a throw for her couch. We picked out the yarn awhile ago and my friend taught me a cool pattern, but I wasn't turning it right and couldn't get with her to figure it out. So yesterday I found a cool pattern called the Granny Ripple. Its similar stitching to granny squares but its worked in rows in a zigzag pattern. Very easy and now will be able to get this blanket finished for her!
