Woo, Crazy Hitch!

I'm finally learning how to play the piano at all ... having just turned 48.

I've only recently started, but almost a year of successfully sticking with physical fitness classes (and finding ways to appreciate it despite having previously always hated exercise) has given me confidence to tackle this.

I've always wanted to play. I'm enjoying it.

I woke up on time to feed the cat, fishes, and catch the really early bus that'll take me to the station where I gotta catch another bus that would would take me somewhere near where I ought to be but not exactly so I still gotta walk in the heat.

It's tough... but I did it today. I wanna pat myself on the back for that, at least.

Still managing to keep my energy level up. I'm waiting for the shoe to drop. For my severe depression to return or severe anxiety...maybe I'm really in a remission?

I was badly triggered yesterday afternoon, but drew on the mostly self-taught emotional regulation I've been working on and didn't make things worse and spiral down into days or weeks of depression and inaction.

It wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I managed to not just bury the emotions or get overwhelmed by them. So I'm calling that a pretty good result.

The situation has passed and I feel okay now.
