Didn't get to sleep until late...then finally get my act together to take my boys to the park for our hike and guess what?! FLAT TIRE!

I really don't have the energy to deal with this. I barely have the energy to get through normal life much less emergency...but...I called the tire shop, called the tow truck. Can't get it handled until this afternoon, but it will get handled...

I'm going back to my sofa to vegetate for a bit until it's time to deal with this.

UGH. For me car trouble ranks way up there at the very top in terms of stress.

I'm so sorry your morning has been less than peaceful, seesaw. Here's to a better day

I’m so sorry, Seesaw. I got a flat not long ago on my way to work last year, and I’ve been stranded a couple of other times with a dead battery or faulty battery over the past two years. It is so aggravating!!

Well, so it turns out I do have a spare, but we couldn't get it off, so had to tow the car to Firestone. They are slammed, so I took an Uber home because it was like a 3 hour wait. It's a good thing I didn't have anything to actually do today or go anywhere.

Kinda got treated like an idiot by the tow truck guy. But I'll live.

I have never had a positive experience with tow truck guys. They tend to be very rude.

Well, they couldn't patch the tire because the tread was too low. So two new front tires! Woohoo! Another unexpected expense. Between the dogs and the car, you wouldn't think I was making any money, lolz.

It sort of ruined my Saturday but also made it awesome because it gave me permission to do nothing while I waited for the tires to get put on.

Back in the day tow truck drivers were saints. They were always these friendly, super-helpful guys, kinda biker types, but really sweet.

Somewhere along the way a lot of tow truck drivers have become jerks. It sad, really.

Oh, man, Seesaw—that expense sucks!

Re: tow truck drivers—Laurie I hadn’t thought about that!

I remember a tow truck driver pulling my little bitty car out of a ditch for free when I was a teen with my stepfather (trying to teach me to drive a clutch). I screwed up backing up. The tow truck just happened by, such a coincidence. He was a nice guy..

The last one I had to talk to was a jerk. I kept telling him to put the car by service, but he didn’t want to and just started unloading the car in the middle of the new car lot. I had to go get the service people to tell him.

I’m not sure what has changed. Maybe people are meaner over all in society <shrugs>

And my crappy morning turned into a crappy night. Fish got into a tub of margarine on the counter this afternoon and this evening he had terrible gas that became diarrhea and then vomiting so now it's 4am and we're at an emergency vet. Oh joy.

And he had diarrhea in my living room, the stench is awful, so I'm going to have to figure out how to deal with that.

Oh, it wasn't all that bad. Just annoying..and the place I went gave me good service and I felt was reasonable so he can keep his opinion to himself. Plus I can trust their warranty.
