I have an acoustic guitar, Epiphone, Ft-135, block inlay. Blue label inside. It’s in good used condition. No scratches, dents, etc. Also have original receipt dated 1973 and original lined hard shell case.
Would like to know how valuable it is. Is there a site online or guitar forum that can help with this? Do I take it to a vintage guitar shop? Do they normally charge for estimates? Thank you. Last edited by precaryous; May 07, 2018 at 10:42 PM. |

Elderly Music is probably the largest string shop in the U.S. I've attached the website for their appraisal section:
https://www.elderly.com/vintage Is this the one you have? https://www.elderly.com/acoustics/ac...news_from_date |

I wouldn't take it to a guitar shop. Too many shady types from my experience. I once had a store offer me $800 for a guitar that was worth thousands.
Here is one that sold for $200: https://reverb.com/item/3179999-epip...pruce-rosewood

How cool, precaryus. I'd love to see a pic of your guitar.
