How do you look nice in bigger size clothing? I know some people who go up one or two sizes in like hoodies, and they look really nice.

I tried going up a size in a hoodie today, and it was comically too big. The sleeves were just hanging off and the chest part as well was just huge. It just looked bad and sloppy.

How do I go up a size in clothes if even one size bigger is like going up two sizes to anyone else?

Shop around and try things on. Not all sizes are the same.
Thanks for this!

Try ‘oversized’ clothing in your normal size. They are baggier but the arms etc are the same still xx

Yes, shop around.

If you like the hoody sort of style I suggest you visit skateboard stores. They will have your size but cut baggier without looking like you are in a tent. Jeans and shorts too.
Thanks for this!

Thanks . I do shop at skate board stores but only for shoes. I’ll have to look into it.

I don’t look good in oversized clothes because I am petite with small bone structure. Even now when I gained weight and am not thin anymore, I still can’t wear things that oversized, I just have to wear them in my correct size. Why do you want bigger clothes?

I think it looks nice in some things. I looked up womans hoodies and the models looked good and they were wearing a size or two bigger. I have a long stomach but short legs. So men’s T shirts just come to my waist. And short pants are often touching the floor. I have broad shoulders and a large frame even though I’m not tall.

Finding clothes that fit are challenging. I don’t have much in the way of hips, I wear smaller sizes then what other people my weight wear. I am on a weight loss support group as well.

So basically my shirts are too short at my current size, but going up a size is too big.

I see. I have trouble buying clothes!

I am short but have long legs so I can’t wear petite pants as they are too short yet normal pants are too long! I have a short torso though so I need petite dresses but my arms are quite longish so sleeves are too short. Then despite small frame I am very large breasted so I cannot wear anything that needs buttoning up. Clothes shopping is a pain!!!!!

You could try tall sizes.

I usually get mine from Eddie Bauer. I wait for the 40-50% off everything sales, which happen all the time.

I think Old Navy has them too, but I don’t shop there.

Some stores give free shipping if they don’t have your size (no one seems to have Tall in stock but might if you look online).

I found a hoodie in my size that’s bigger then I usually wear and longer but it looks good.

Someone else said Old Navy’s shirts are long. I went there a couple months ago and I got several shirts. I like them.
Thanks for this!
