What weirds me out? I am sure I have mentioned this before but I find the idea of dragging a huge fifth wheel with all the comforts of home to a campground really weird. Why bother leaving home at all? A camper is one thing (I sleep in a small tent trailer off the ground myself now) minimalist in design but an outdoor patio complete with large screen television and a living room equipped with a fireplace seems a bit much don't you think? I can understand maybe if you park the dang thing in one spot all season but to yank it from park to park for weekend trips? I just don't get it. Yep, this is pretty darn weird to me.
Thanks for this!

I was an avid backpacker, climber and mountaineer. Obviously, we went as small and light as possible. We had such disdain for those who wheeled into a ‘campground.’

I’ve seen the luxury of those behemoths — not a Wilderness Experience!

for some reason, I get annoyed when someone says that someone else has a problem

like, in context

" rachel had a few problems this morning".

my first thought is.. rachel's a person, not a robot or a roller coaster

it's what you'd say about a plain isn't it... this flight had a few problems this morning, but we're okay now

not about a person

despite it making perfect sense, it wierds me out

when it comes to people, I'd rather them just say what the problem was.
I don't know.. such and such got locked in her bedroom this morning.

whole lot better than saying had a few problems

My mouth tastes like tums. I haven’t eaten any tums. I drank a soda and the taste is still there. It’s weird. Tums make me nauseated for some reason.

When people say "years young" because they apparently think there is something wrong with the word "old."

Hmm. Yes. Yes, indeed.

While my body functioned in a number of questionably moral ways, I have never been comfortable with talk of ‘bodily functions’ from or with either sex. Even my wife and I were covert about the subject and actions.

We all have secrets and private thoughts. So should we privately deal with private functions.

Tums are antacid tablets that leave a chalky residue in your mouth. They are packaged with tablets of different colors but they all tasted the same to me.

I think that there are different varieties now. I shared my last bottle with Methuselah.

Methuselah, LOL!
I'm no fan of the "fruit"-flavored ones either, though they seem to be most popular now. I say if we're going for chalky, let's go straight up chalky and have the plain ones. Then again, I'd rather have a pepto tablet (though they are not as effective as the liquid, they *are* more portable).
Thanks for this!

He is from the Bible and is reputed to have lived a very, VERY long time and this was BEFORE Noah's flood. Soooo, it would be THOUSANDS of years ago.

Pretty sure amicus_curiae wasn't around to share his tums with him.

The coke I’m drinking has no flavor. I don’t even know what it tastes like. Not coke though. The date says August 2 2018. I don’t think it can go flat that fast. It’s caffeine free coke and I always though CF tasted better then regular.

I don’t sweat. I’m not dead but I am a freak of nature.

Maybe it’s because I now take a diuretic? Have an enlarged prostate?

I dunno.
