Oh dear, I just had to share about my day yesterday. I had a terrible cold that lasted nearly a week and I was pretty incapacited, spending days on the couch, not leaving the house much if at all. My boyfriend was bringing me food and stuff. I couldn't be on the computer much longer than ten minutes at a time.

So on Veteran's Day I was feeling better, but my body was still very weak from inactivity. I started thinking about all the stuff I had to do. I had gotten behind in all my voc rehab stuff, my place was a mess etc. I was hanging out online in the morning, trying to muster up energy to get things done.

My friend came online and told me my phone wasn't working. Sure enough, it was frozen so I restarted it. I had a message from Grandma asking me to call her. She had ALL this stuff that she wanted me to help her with Tuesday and Wednesday since I was starting to feel better. But suddenly I got overwhelmed with anxiety about all the things I had to accomplish on my weary legs. Luckily I was in support chat when all this went down so I had people to help talk me through it. I called Grandma back and asked her to ask my aunt to help her out with stuff today, so that I could have one more day to get my strenght back and take care of my stuff. All was great...I got off of PC to shower and stuff.

All I wanted was a shower......was that too much to ask? Well.....my cat's litter box is located in my bathroom. My cat is over 17 human years old. Very old kitty. I go into the bathroom and......well he had pissed his litter box and had some extreme intestinal woe, pretty much all over the bathroom!!

I lost it. Now I had to clean up all this stuff just to take a shower! I started falling into a total panic attack, not knowing to tackle first. So I called my sponsor and she didn't answer. I called my backup and as soon as she got on the phone I was crying, telling her how overwhelmed I was.

Now here comes the hysterical crying AND laughing at the same time, as I begin telling her about the mess in the bathroom and the fact that my cat had stepped in it, so there were little cat prints all over the floor!! At this point all I could do was laugh through the tears and my friend was laughing too. My sponsor called back and I had her laughing about it, and then my other best friend called and we laughed some more.

The best part of it was that my best friend said "I'm coming over to help you clean." Is that a good friend or what!! Well I couldn't let her clean the cat mess so I did that while she was on the way and then had to take a rest on the kitchen floor.

After she got there we blasted some Gretchen Wilson and she started in on my kitchen, while I did the smaller stuff. I was finally able to shower and then we went to a meeting. Today I got a lot more accomplished since the overwhelming stuff was over.

Why is it that I don't remember a cold affecting just about every single aspect of my life haha!!!!!

As far as I know everything went fine. I talked to Grandma on the phone yesterday and she was in good spirits so I think everything worked out. I'm so glad I put my health first this time, instead of asking how high when she asked me to jump.

Today we're going to her cardiologist and then getting stuff for a small Thanksgiving dinner. I feel much more up to helping today, after my place got clean on Monday and I took care of phone calls and stuff yesterday.

(((( Soliaree ))))) Thank you for your help on Monday!!! I'm so grateful I was talking to you during the whole thing, and then Inny was here while I made the phone call. I'm so glad I was in chat during that time with Grandma!!!

Fealing loads better, just still a little weak, the occasional dizzy spell if I move too fast, and still have some of the sniffles.
