I can't say that I do. My sister in law took it up while she was pregnant and I've never seen her since.
I've done dangerous goods (transportation) and ohs, was given the chance to learn CPR, and then someone put me off it. Did you do it for personal reasons or work related? |

I did it as part of something at school the ambulance came to the school for an open day and gave some of the kids oppotunity to learn CPR it's a useful skill to have, so why not what put you off it? |

like I say I've used it twice,
first time it was because someone had overheated, and second time it was because someone had her drink spiked. second time I even got a " thank you for saving my life." |

I learned and have used my skills twice.
Once was when my little cousin had choked on some cigarette butts and quit breathing. Once when my friend's 3 year old sister fell in their pool and we found her unresponsive floating face down. Both times It worked and even though I was calm while it was happening both times I swooned after the immediate threat was over.

It's required for my job, along with first aide certification. Luckily I have never had to do CPR. My wrists are not good, I had a lot of pain doing it properly during the class.

I have never been trained in it though have learned bits & pieces here & there. I probably should learn since moving to the little town I live in I have been the first one at 3 car accidents, 2 were really bad & I had to care for the people until the responders arrived that I had called. Had never had the need before moving to the country.

You bet I do and I regularly get recertified. I am CPR qualified for special cases like infants too. It all started with a course in the military and I have kept the knowledge current - which is a good idea as the methods periodically change (for instance now it is straight compressions without pausing for breaths).
While I have not had occasion to use my CPR skills I have had to use my First Aid training repeatedly. I also have knowledge of low level and high level (wilderness) rescue and field first aid. |

Yes, it's taught at all high schools in my country. In high school everyone goes on a week long course usually in the mountains where we learn first aid and basic survival skills. Also first aid and safety are taught during last days of school year in every grade. It's what they do before summer holidays when kids have no motivation to study but they have to go to school.
So I went through that and I also have official certificate from the red cross. Fortunately never had to use it.

I learned CPR as part of my CNA training ( done on a mannequin plus AED). In North Carolina, recertification is done online. This is senseless to me. I consider "hands on" training essential. Also, recertification in AED is not required in NC.

I've taken CPR classes many times but I wouldn't trust myself to perform it during an emergency unless I was absolutely the only one who can do it.

I'm prepared for crisis/survival mode but not to be relied on for medical purposes or to save someone's life. But emergency/survival first aid is something I'd like to learn how to do.

I have CPR and First Aid certifications
It’s been a while since I’ve had to use my skills. A while back my younger daughter (1 years old) had a seizure. I had 911 on the line and I was working on her. A few months later she had another one.
