Tell me about your first slow dance. It could be romantic or with a family member at a wedding or whatever. If you've never slow danced, share your idea of what it would be like.

Mine was when I was 14. I was painfully shy, but a friend arranged a dance with my crush. We danced to Lightening Crashes by Live. I have always had intense emotions (borderline) so I cried during the dance. Thankfully he was really sweet and didn't make a big deal of it. I remember it like it was yesterday. My heart absolutely racing.

I was in the 7th grade. It was a jr high dance. I want to say it was to Stairway to Heaven. I want to say that he was a year older than me. I moved soon after so it is taking me a minute to remember. I think I remember his last name but not his first name.
Thanks for this!

I had my first slow dance at a quincinera (sweet 15 party). Not my own, but I just remember how awkward and embarrassing it was because I was 6'2'' and she was 4'11''. Definitely made for an awkward dance in front of her family!
Thanks for this!

No way can I remember my fist slow dance or who it was with. Most likely 8th grade at a school dance with a classmate.

Junior high....I had the sweetest & smartest & talented BF & yes, I still remember his name though I don't specifically remember the first dance with him as there were many.

His dad was a pilot. One student always had friday night parties we went to (we are talking 1967). Good memories of a good time in my life.

Never had a slow dance but I guess it'd be pretty awkward to dance with me due to my personality.... ughhh imagine a very shy introvert with little to no social training dancing on Teardrop with a cute girl... or even a guy? Lol what.

I was socially awkward and a complete outcast. I didnt know how to dance or follow someone's lead. I stepped on his feet multiple times. All these years later I dance exactly the same. However the beauty lies in the imperfections and feelings. There is a song that says: when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.

I grew up not knowing how to dance then ended up in a PE dance class in junior high & we did lots of dances for talent shows. I was a musician so I had rythm just not the moves without tons of practice.

Now at me age I enjoy ballroom dancing & have a group I enjoy doing it with. Never would have imagined that the kid that sat watching a dance from the side line in 6th grade would end up being able to dance.....but it is fun (& YES, there are times I do still step on toes)

I cannot relate more to the complete outcast thing. Nobody really likes me. And it's not even my fault, my parents made me like this and they still don't know they're wrong about almost everything... but yes when I get freedom (most likely next year, either that or in my twenties), I'd make sure to get invited in parties. And then dance like the party king.
