Here's an update for all my friends now that I am on WiFi.

Wow, what a whirlwind of emotions and excitement this past week! Last week I made my way out of California and headed into the unknown with my brother by my side. He was a huge help not just for the move but he was there for me emotionally...he even worked me through some of my fears and meltdowns and kept the morale up with good music and awesome podcasts.

Evy, my cat, is doing fantastic. When we got her to our new home all she wanted was love and pets, desperately go to the bathroom, and then get more love and pets. She's been so snuggly and loving. Often times I wake up with her sleeping on my chest. She loves the peace and quiet, and so far only slight curiosity as to what's beyond the bedroom door....right now she's loving just being alone in her room.

Everyone has been pushing personal limits to make our house feel like home. my brother, Mom and Dad worked two days on the front yard hacking up a tree and attacking the shrubs with a weed whacker while I spent three hours washing all of our dishes and plus the second day organizing the kitchen and the house pantries. Once my brother left, we pushed ourselves even harder to organize the house, take all of our cardboard boxes and bags of paper and yard waste to the recycle center, and Mom and Dad installed all of our TVs, and Evy did great with the intrusion and the noise.

[The Three Cities We Call Our Hometown] are all fantastic towns. When you drive, you see the ocean and the trees for miles and miles and it's amazing, it hasn't even sunk in that this is my hometown.

So far I like [This City] the best...I love the shops and the people are so friendly. I tried to open the doors to the bakery and found it closed, and I really was so bummed because I was hoping for coffee and a bite to eat, so I sat down for a minute and a woman comes out of the shop and offers me a box of half a dozen cupcakes! I've made friends with B from [Pet Store], she is so wonderful, and K from [Quirky Shop] who is also a friend of my mom and was so excited to know I am my mom's daughter that I found myself suddenly embraced!

I am feeling like I will really like it here...but I have a feeling I'll get bored and want to go out and get a job soon...but overall, I am very happy to be in Oregon.
