I am moving out of California

Feedback is Helpful?

On 11-3-2021 I am going to be moving out of California. and I am moving to Tallahassee, Florida or Something like Tampa/Clearwater, Florida to start the process of Ending my Own Homelessness. And I will continue to help anyone else who might be Homeless to learn how to Survive by being Homeless. And my mom is Living in St Petersburg, Florida. And I have a Overpayment That I have to pay off from my California SSI check $40.00 a month and I am going to be adding more money to pay off my SSI check Overpayment to
$60.00 a month and I am going to be saving money for my move out of Oceanside, California about $80.00 a month and I am going to be taken the Amtrak Train from Los Angeles, California to Jacksonville, Florida.
And then I will be able to ride my Surly LHT 26in 52cm 2008 Touring Bicycle to Tallahassee, FL or Tampa, FL. And I am going to go back to Oceanside, CA on the Greyhound bus to the my Stuff in my storage unit. and I have been Homeless in Southern California in San Diego, CA since 3-2007 and I moved out of San Diego, CA on 3-2011 to Oceanside/Vista, California where I am Living in My Tent. and Homelessness in California is getting really bad. and
I have been getting my SSDI/SSI since 10-1994 for schizoaffective bipolar type and ADHD. and I will lose my California SSI supplement payment.

Thanks
Timi

P.S. My mom is living in senior housing. and on 11-19-2021 is when I turn 56 yrs old

I love California. I always swore I'd never leave this state unless it was to move to Ireland or the UK. Unfortunately, the cost of living here is killing me. I'm so stressed and afraid all of the time, terrified of losing housing.

California has the worst homelessness in the USA; I don't think people outside of this state have a clue as to how bad the homeless situation is. People from all over the nation come to Calif because the weather is very tolerable. It's easy for the nation to ignore the homelessness epidemic.

As for your disability, I suggest you start the transfer process ASAP.

I wish you all the best.

Different states have very different programs for assistance. And they vary over time as u inferred. My state had a program for those w Significant Mental Illness that provided $30,000 for education, some for housing, docs provided, etc. then there are the federal programs. I made my way differently but made a big mistake not maximizing my soc security (now retired). We need to bookmark the important websites state and federal, and keep up w the news of proposed bills. Then build yr network of friends wherever u are as well.

I couldn't change my location for disability until after I moved & established my mailing address & bank for auto deposit. It is really easy. Just go to the local social security office assuming yoyr disability isn't through a company you had worked for. Each state has supplimental help if your disability income is low enough..but think it might have a residency requirement.....not sure..but those are usually state subsidized programs
