1) chess---requires each player to have a real-life chess board and will send a message to the other player about what move is made

2) cards--each player of four players needs a real-life deck of cards. I have an idea for how Spades could be played, and it needs some set-up. I will do it if I have time, and before each game, someone needs to set up the next game. Here's how it would work: The set-up person would deal out four hands of cards in real life. Then this person would indicate what cards are for each person. This could be done by sending a private message to each person or by fixing it so the cards per person wouldn't be seen by the other players. Then each player would put out a card and the other players would do the same. Spades are trumps, but can't be played unless the person doesn't have (is void) a card in the suit. Before the game starts, each player says how many hands (tricks) that player thinks they will win. It probably would help to have paper and pen and write the cards down for each hand or such. If you underbid, each trick over only gets one point. Otherwise, the trick earns ten points. If you underbid, you lose ten points for each hand you didn't win that thought you would. Play until someone gets an agreed-upon number of points.

3) jacks---use your imagination in playing

4) yo-yos (have a competition!)--again, use your imagination--such as describe your yo-yo, say what trick you're going to do, etc.

5) nerf dodge ball--use your imagination

6) dancing--a partner, then you two choose the music, and kind of dance

Okay, what would you like to play? Say so and then see who else wants to play that game. Or just pretend you're playing if no one signs up. Feel free to play as many games as you like.

Any other games people want to play?

Confused? Questions? Have fun!

Sounds good, raging vortex, especially the 20 questions game, since that can actually be played here. Would you please set that up? Thanks.

Here's another activity that has been suggested after you eat: Decorate gingerbread men! You can get a "bare" man and then have all sorts of things to decorate it with and after tell how you decorated it, or some such.

I used to play chess. Had an expert rating. The problem with playing online is the temptation to use a computer to 'help'(ie cheat.) They caught a grandmaster with a chess program on his iphone. A phone can play as well as a grandmaster now!

someone posts the first line of a carol, and then the next people post line after line until it is complete

and it doesn't have to be carols- it can be anything

cards against humanity.

I know like in real life it's played with real cards, but I'm sure I could make a version on here that's just as good (keeping it clean)

maybe... fill in the blanks?

someone posts a statement, and then someone fills in the blank with what ever springs to mind
