I have to go with more money. The other pieces kind of fall into place if you've got the green. Sad but true.

I said sleep as that influences health which I think is the most important for me.

WOW!!! I'm amazed at the percentages at this time!! It certainly speaks to people's priorities! It's kinda funny but sad at the same time... to me, anyway. Wonder what a wise person would have to say about it?

Well September, based on current data on the state of the middle class, I'm not surprised by the percentages. We're out of ways to generate more income, we've maxed out our credit, and we're losing value in our homes. We make less money than we did 30 years ago (adjusted for inflation) while working much longer hours and economic benefits of globalization are going almost exclusively to those who already had too much money to begin with. Fuel costs are way up and the dollar is constantly losing value so foreign imports (much of what we buy) are also rising dramatically in price.

I mean, I know how screwed I am financially so it will be interesting to see how much the rest of the middle class can take.

Oh, and this is all from the American POV. People with Euros are in better shape.

{{{{{Cyran0))))) I understand all that. Hubby listens to all of that on TV and reads it all on the Internet. He gets all "het up" about it. The way I see it, what can HE do about it as just one man. Not much! I'm not politically inclined for the same reason.

There was a time that the economy would take me on roller coaster rides; when I was raising my family. Now they are all on their own. Some are doing better than others, financially, but they're all doing okay.

Maybe it's because hubby and I are in "our Golden Years" that I don't worry so much about that. We're both on SS, he took a large package offered to him to retire early that he invested and now works part time, only to keep himself busy. It's a very modest income, but we do alright. So... what else do I have to focus on but our private lives?

Now I'm feeling a bit guilty. Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... I understand where you're coming from, still raising a family. Your family and mine have had totally different lifestyles. Now I'm realizing that I was comparing oranges to apples. I'm sorry. Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

I don't think that this really has to do too much with peoples' general priorities because there are only three choices.

Sex, sleep, and money. I would think that out of the three the stuff that pays for me and hubby's house, bills, food, school, cars, clothing, ny pdoc, meds, and T-- money would be the most important. And since right now I only work part-time due to my internship and can't always afford what I need-- I'll take more money. I'm putting myself through school and will have to pay those loans back at some point.

I bet if more choices were added-- such as medical health, mental health, etc., then there would be a big difference in the results.

September, never feel guilty for being secure. In my opinion, it's something we all deserve.

And yeah, I probably pay more attention to the news than is healthy. I wonder why I do that? Maybe it's sort of comforting to see our own problems, such as finances, in a broader context. Being one digit in a larger number can be both depersonalizing and reassuring at the same time.

Pink, I agree. But hey, those were the three choices so I'm running with it. Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

Pinksoil, oppinions are like rear ends; everybody has one. Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... May I add, "that's why they have horse races"? Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

The poll wasn't meant to change the world. It's just one person's question. Nothing more. It is certainly food for thought, don't you think? Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

{{{{{{{{{Cyrano}}}}}}}}}} To each his own. I'm glad that you have such an open mind about this issue. Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... Or is it an "issue"? Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

Can't say I thought it was meant to change the world-- that's my job once I get my degree. But yes, I agree-- it was food for thought and I like to give opinions.

I chose better/more sleep because since I became perimenopausal two years ago I have had persistent insomnia and debilitating fatigue. I think if I were not so tired I could then choose behaviors which would bring me more money/better sex.

The poll question are interesting but it would be great if we saw ages associated with the answers. Was there relevance to who chose sleep or money or sex? (giggle) Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life... Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

Definitely getting better quality and quantity of sleep for me.

It's a proven fact that by being well rested your brain functions better in all areas of life. So, I guess you could say that I could be a better employee (make more money), feel more rested and enjoy more sex! What more could I ask for??? Poll: If you could improve one aspect of your life...

I chose "improve your sex life" because I'm single and my biggest wish is to have a girlfriend and eventually have a wife. Also the reason why i chose "improve your sex life" because money cant purchase true love. I would definetly want to be married to the woman of my dreams over having more money anyday.
