I am wondering if my therapy office is going to call and confirm my appointment for Wednesday like they usually do on Mondays.

Did a load of laundry, but now I have to dry it. Showered earlier. But then the neighbor's dog jumped me in the elevator, so I petted the dog, and the dog felt better, but its paws sort of dirtied up my new clothes. It was a big dog! The dog was cute though.

I'm still working on house chores - one at a time. I might take a nap though.

I'm going to take a long nap, or maybe sleep and finish my chores in the middle of the night, when all is quiet and calm.

Half-listening to the morning news about all the election stuff. I usually avoid politics like it's an STD, but today, I am listening.

Paid the electric bill that just came in.
Paid off one installment I had on Amazon.
Balanced my budgeting spreadsheet on Excel with my online banking.
Drank warm Coca-Cola for breakfast because I'm too lazy to make coffee right now (plus, I need to do dishes).

I went for a second morning smoke, came back upstairs, and went into storage closet on the floor where I live (I have a total of three storage closets).
I took out 3 bins, placed the bins inside my apartment, and prepped for organizing my papers. I'll be organizing my papers soon and then returning the storage bins to the storage closet down the hall from my apartment. I love how we have at-cost storage rooms on our floor. This is, by far, the best apartment I've ever lived in!

I have 5 bins in one storage closet.

Bin 1 has memorabilia comprising my daughter's papers, photos, and some artifacts. I plan on purchasing photo albums for my bookcase, once I can afford the photo albums and the bookcase. some or all of those items will also be scanned into my computer as well as onto an exernal backup drive, once I have the energy to scan the items into my current printer/copier/scanner that I have at home, and once I receive the remaining packages from my mother's house. This project will be set aside for a later time. Eventually, the bin will be emptied, as all the memorabilia items will be in decorative albums or boxes that reside on a bookcase or somewhere in my home, when I can afford purchasing the bookcase that matches my current desk.

Bin 2 has memoriabilia comprising educational items such as diplomas, certificates, awards, programs, publications, etc. I plan on scanning a lot of that memorabilia onto my computer and my external backup drive. These are mostly keepsakes, such as diplomas, publications, etc. The actual caps and gowns and other wearable items are in a box at my mother's house, which will be eventually stored inside a different bin and a different storage closet (filled with seasonal or memorable clothing items). I'm highly organized. I want to make sure that my items are easily reached and found, especially if I plan on moving a few times for various grad schools. Having bins that could later be placed in moving boxes is a great way to stay organized when you're constantly on the move every few years due to grad school locale changes and/or internships. These serve as proof of all my work. I'll eventually have a bin for only grad school memorabilia. Some items will be placed in decorative magazine bins and/or boxes that will reside on a bookcase, once I can afford them all. Other clothing items will remain in the bins and periodically washed and fully dried.

Bin 3 will have media items, which will be shelved on a bookcase, once I can afford it. I'm trying to downsize, so most of my media are in electronic form. Nevertheless, there are a few items that I'd like to have displayed within my home.

Bin 4 will have product information, warranty, receipts, and handy "junk mail" (for info purposes). I intend to scan, shred, and or mail in warranty/registration items at a latter date (once I can afford to purchase a cheap shredder, and once I have the energy to use my current printer/copier/scanner to do the rest). This bin serves as a "dumping bin" for "to-do items."

Bin 5 will have non-essential papers and binders that will eventually be filed in cute folders and magazine bins for the bookcase, once I can afford to purchase the bookcase and all the supplies for the bookcase. The bookcase will serve as my decorative filing system, as well as for media, some filler artifacts, and photo albums. Any papers that can be scanned and shredded will be, once I can afford the shredder. I may need to purchase two bookcases instead of one, given all of the above.

As for the remaining two storage closets and bins, I plan on organizing those cloth-based items at a later date, once I can afford to wash and dry everything and purchase moisture-absorbing packs (like silica) so that no mold grows inside. Lavender is supposed to help ward off pests, so I may get lavender satchels at a later time. I already have about 5 to 6 bins for those items, but I'll likely need more bins. I will also purchase luggage at a future date, because I'll likely be traveling a lot for meetings, presentations, interviews, and grad school.

I'm planning ahead, since I'll likely be moving every 4 to 6 years, give or take, depending on grad school requisites. Staying organized helps reduce stress from clutter, moving, finding items, storing items, etc. Once a routine is down, then maintenance is easy.

This is me and my new life. I recently relocated to a new state to start over and reinvent the new me. I've been planning ahead like this for years. I gave away or sold most of my items before the move, and I packed the rest in boxes that were shipped to my mother, since that was cheaper than hiring a moving company. In the future, however, I plan on saving funds for moving expenses, including moving men.

For now, I'm doing what I can to establish a new routine that works with my limitations and budget. I love organizing, even though I don't have the energy to do it all right now. The setup takes the most energy, but maintenance is easy-peasy.

Planning on making myself coffee and eating blueberry yogurt before it expires. I like watching reruns of "Burn Notice" while eating breakfast, and the characters on that show love blueberry yogurt. It's not my favorite yogurt, but I love pretending to be part of the burn-notice team. Hee hee.

UPDATE: I wound up eating cheeseburger sliders and drinking the rest of my leftover (warm) Coca-Cola instead. I did have a blueberry yogurt though, and I did watch one episode of Burn Notice.
