so did anyone have as a child the digital pets you had to look after

was talking about these with a friend a few days ago. her daughter used to own them and she was saying how annoying it was that she ended up looking after it

yes I had one. I didn't really treat it like a pet though. I treated it more like a thing with buttons on it (so it clearly didn't last too long)

when I was a kid I was obsessed with things that had buttons

I got one for Christmas when I was 4. I remember my siblings and I sitting on Santa’s lap at the mall and we all asked for “Gigi pets” I think that’s what they were. I got a 101 Dalmatians and my brother got a Star Wars one. I don’t remember which one my sister got. Of course being 4 at the time I had no frigging idea how the thing worked. So yeah it was just a thing with buttons for me too. My sister tried taking care of all 3 of them but she would have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed them or something. Very soon after Christmas all 3 died.
