I went to Youtube and found several singers who got to sing our national anthem at the World Series and Superbowl.
My fav is always will be Whitney Houston; I cannot listen to her version without getting chills up and down my body. I put a short list together on Youtube: YouTube Who do you think did the best job?

I love all musicians, but I'd have to say that it's a tie between Whitney Houston (miss that woman, may she RIP) and young singer Angelica Hale! Both have very powerful voices, and both performed the best, in my eyes. I tried to only vote on their performance for this song, not for my love for their album songs, though they all performed really well! I, personally, like voices that are clear and ranging between soprano and second soprano (regardless of gender), though I do appreciate some variance with alto, tenor, and bass. I also like some falsetto, vibrato, and crescendo.

Not exactly relevant but a very beautifully executed version of your Star Spangled Banner, way back in 1969. The year I was born, btw. Little baby. Jimi Hendrix was only 26, but man, he made an impression on the world.

A very relevant rendition considering the times.
