Hello, hopefully this is the most appropriate section to post this in, and an appropriate topic period... I know a mental health forum isn't really the best place to post about tattoos, but I don't visit any other forums or have anywhere else to go with this and been seeking some outside thoughts/views on this tattoo idea I've been contemplating getting the past couple weeks.

What do you think of this tattoo idea?

The top 2 pieces are of course the big dipper and planets in our solar system (only 8 dots, can't decide if I should do 9 to include Pluto ) and the bottom is a nuclear fusion diagram illustration.

Then there's also this alternative design I'm trying to decide if I want instead, but just can't decide which I like more lol

What do you think of this tattoo idea?

For "equal time", i would need one of these on the other arm:

tattoo of god creating adam - Google Search

But im a little OCD!

Eta - and really not religious. But probably too politically correct for my own good! Cuz i would imagine people saying to me, "but what about intelligent design?" And then i would show them my left forearm, which is kinda the italian equivalent of the middle finger. And no, i dont have all my original teeth...

I like both a lot. Sorry I can't help w your decision. And if it were me I'd put Pluto in. For my childhood's sake.

It's distinctive. I hope you have it done.

Ooh! They're both super cool and very different from the types of tattoos that people usually seem to get. I love them, and if I saw you in-person, I'd by dying to ask you the meaning/story. (Mostly the nuclear part - I can get the planets, big dipper, telescope.. but the bottom part is intriguing, because I wouldn't recognize it.)

Good luck deciding! I don't think you can go wrong with either one!

Thanks guys for the thoughts Really wanting and looking forward to getting it done, but of course getting a tattoo would typically include a bit of social interaction so just hoping my anxiety doesn't end up preventing me lol

I really love the tattoo! And i would include Pluto as well, it'll be always in heart as a part of our solar system Family, no matter what the scientists say 😂
What does nuclear fusion mean to you personally?

Made a few changes and think I definitely like this one better than with the big unpleasant arrows in the original lol

I have to say I definitely agree on the Pluto matter As for the nuclear fusion personal meaning, I was originally thinking about getting a tattoo of a mushroom cloud because I'm really interested in and amazed by the science behind atomic bombs. But I came to decide just a simple diagram of the nuclear fusion process (which also is the same as what goes on in the Sun so a nice double meaning ) would be better than a big mushroom cloud on my forearm lol

Thank you, I edited and copied the proton and neutron images from a diagram on Google images, but the overall layout is the same as most others.

Love it! And, just for what it's worth - I really like the nuclear fusion image much better than a mushroom cloud. The fusion image would make me think you're smart and interesting, and I'd be curious and want to talk to you (err... which you might not want, if you're struggling with social anxiety - sorry!)

A mushroom cloud might scare me away...

Anyway, it definitely looks amazing and, as I said, very different (in a great way) from the types of things you usually see. Just... very cool looking!

Good luck!

Oooooh, Photonate, I like this new design the best!
Meant to say before that I agree with including poor excluded Pluto.

I definitely like the diagram so much more than the mushroom! The mushroom is associated with war and people suffering, whereas this diagram is just cool and fascinating science

I love forearm tattoos. I got my first tattoo when I was 42. It was supposed to be a 40th birthday milestone but I wanted to make sure it was something I really wanted on my body. It did hurt.
Here it is:
What do you think of this tattoo idea?
I want to add a weeping willow tree off towards the bicep but I am still deciding. I am 44 now so we shall see.

The 3rd I like best. Reversing the placement does it. Telescope etc have more room while fusion remains with plenty room at wrist area. Better balance I think. Good stuff overall!
