I've started a new island on Animal Crossing on the OLED cos the 'transfer an island' procedure seems a nightmare! I'll probably play it to a certain point then switch to another game for a break. Just getting the museum, shop etc to access landscaping, then have a break while I decide what I want to do with this island.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were announced recently, they come out at the end of this year. I'm really looking forward to them!

I beat Pokémon Shining Pearl and have been playing a lot of Pokémon Legends Arceus lately. I'm going to get back into The Witcher 3 soon, haven't played in a couple weeks. I also got a replacement remote for my TV so I can now play games on my Xbox One X and actually control the volume

I'm annoyed that I can't get the cute cottag eon animal crossing new horizons until after I've added an upstairs as I just wanted a small cute little cottageby the sea like the other villagers houses but with one extra room for bedroom and a bathroom.


Also even if you have 2 players on same switch they can't share a house and have a bedroom each you have to put them in the same bedroom. it's so restrictive I'm getting paranoid about being controlled through the game.


Went back on BOTW where I can avoid all tasks and just run round at night.


I wish there was another game open world where don't have don't have to do main quests and can just do what you want with no expectations.


I really like the photo-realistic ones but they are often violent or only on PS or Xbox, there seems to be no choice.... eg hunting games why can't they have a setting where you just track animals down to take photo's cos you're a wildlife camera-person? ..and can have a dog of your choosing to help you track them down?


or there's no character creation, first person mode only (which I find very confusing visually).


There's one out with a Labrador that look similar to my old dog which is so realistic but I think its a violent shooting game where other characters will attack and kill you even if you can choose not to ever hold a gun?


Also think its not available on switch. Can't remember the name now but if I knew it had a setting to turn off violence and just be able to create character (or at least have a female one) and run round freely with my dog I'd splash out on a PS4 or 5!


It just seems all the violent games have the most photo-realistic scenery with the most realistic dogs too (like D-Dog in Metal Gear Solid 5) and the more pacifist games are all 'cartoony'.


I don't suppose any one knows of a game where you can create and name your own character and have a dog companion you can create and name too? (that doesn't involve any combat)

I did a dungeon in FFXIV. It was my first dungeon in a long time. I had fun.

I don't really know any games like that unfortunately, maybe there is one though

Have you played the game Cattails: Become a Cat? It is cartoony and its not a dog, but you play as a cat, you can name yourself, and you can run around the world, you can eventually be in a relationship with another cat and have kittens you can raise, it' pixel style art but it's a lot of fun and is cute, there's a new one coming out called Cattails: Wildwood Story.

I caught an alpha Scyther and an alpha Rhyhorn in Pokémon legends Arcues, also I made it to the 4 star rank

I've been playing a lot of The Witcher 3 too, just exploring the world, enjoying the music. I am now doing a quest and I have to fight a Golem, I couldn't figure out how to beat, it kept beating me, so I looked up what I have to do/the right strategy and am going to attempt again.

I've been playing a Shadow Priest in World of Warcraft. It's been fun. I don't normally play that class. I am surviving well and I am in cloth gear. I have a shield.

There's a new Witcher game in production, it's obviously going to be a long time till it's released but that's exciting news

Also, Hogwarts Legacy comes out for Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Play Station, and PC around November of this year, super excited about that, it looks really good from what they've shown

There's a game that came out fairly recently called Elden Ring, it looks good, I might buy a copy for my Xbox sometime, since I love RPGs

I beat the frenzied Lilligant in Pokemon Legends Arceus yesterday, also caught an alpha Octillery and made it to the Cobalt Coastlands (screenshots from my game attached below)

Been having a nightmare week with things breaking down...boiler men came to fix it 3 times ..each time pressure dropped shortly after,eventually they found the leaky pipe in the attic because a huge watermark appeared on kitchen ceiling!


Then my phone line was down but didn't realise until I couldn't phone out to ring emergency plumber! . .so of course haven't been able to get online cos router wouldn't work either!


Finally got back online to read BOTW2 has been put back to 2023!


Anyway Minecraft is working better now I can actually sign in! ...so been starting on a new world, found a nice island to put my favourite builds in a smaller more manageable area.


They're all over the place in the old world on old switch cos I constantly got lost at first so just built anywhere so I'd know if I past that bit again when flying round! ...I've since learnt how to use the co-ordinates and chunk base maps!

Oh yeah, I forgot you don't like to buy stuff on the eShop. Yeah unfortunately it's only available there. I wish they would do a physical release so more people could play it who aren't comfortable buying stuff through the eShop. It's a good game.

I tried a survival game (but on easy or peaceful) I sometimes keep one on the go just to wander round and nick stuff from villages but if I wanted to build I didn't have the patience to hunt for every thing I needed when I can have everything available in creative!


I find creative mode more relaxing I like doing up the villages. Tend to do fairly quick easy builds haven't had patience to start on anything that would take months or years! ... Though this Island maybe my first 'big project'

I've been playing a Balanced Druid in WoW. It's been fun. I do well against the enemy and in dungeons. I also like the Shadow Priest. It's weird cause I've always played a Warlock.

I've gone back to Animal Crossing for a bit to get my mum her dream cottage on her island as it would have been her birthday in May, so gotta collect some stuff, raise some money(or bells) to upgrade the little starter shed to a nice cottage and move it to a nice location!! (with sea view)

I'm excited for a new game coming out where you get to control twins and its about their relationship and finding a temple where a device can merge their souls to be one! ...sounds intriguing!! ..kind of like BOTW but you control twin girls or can play co-op with one of you controlling one twin and another controlling the other.....not sure whether you'd need 2 copies of the game yet...as that works by one playing with joycons with switch docked and other plays on handheld using touchscreen to control a robot.


I've actually pre-ordered the special limited physical edition so I get it on the day of release (hopefully!)
