It's a new release at Blockbuster. I don't go to movies either and it's been so long since I used my Blockbuster card that the clerk said. uhhhhhh the credit card you used to get your card? uhh.. it expired 7 years ago.... Ha!
Anyway, it's a Canadian film. It's very scenic and quiet, with just enough dialogue. It's about a woman (Julie Christie) who's married for 44 years and gets Alzheimer's (relatively young at 62). It's about acceptance and dealing with it and, oh there's just a lot of layers to it. A quiet film of romance, joy, struggle and devotion. |

I've resisted seeing it on DVD, since I thought it would be too sad, but now I may go rent it! Thanks,

I thought it was more touching than sad, Patty. I hope you like it.

It might be muffy. I'm not sure I ever got all the way through that one.
There's just something abou these characters and the scenery and quietness in this movie that I liked a lot. |
