does anyone know how often you can complete a system restore on windows 10
I am trying to get a setting back on my system, but right now: the only option is to undo the last restore (I have no option to restore to an earlier date) |

It sounds like you haven't got your restore configuration set to retain more than one restore point, which isn't ideal. You can allocate more memory to keeping several restore points, and I advise you do so.
For now, what's the setting you lost? Maybe there's a way to fix it without restoring. |

how do I change it so that it retains more than 1 restore point? I think that may prove useful! as for the setting i've lost, I don't know, exactly. something to do with the sound lowering automatically. all the volumes are at their maximum 100, so I figured I'd restore it back to where the sound was actually at a deecent volume |

Are you running Windows 10?
The restore settings are a little different for each windows, but the sound is pretty much the same. Click on the windows button in the lower left and type 'system sounds' into the text box. Then open system sounds, go to the playback tab, and double click on the speakers. Then you can go to the levels tab and change the output sound level. You can also go to 'enhancements' and fiddle with things in there. Sometimes they prove to do the thing you're looking to do. |

Also, if you go to YouTube and type in 'how to system restore win 10' you'll get a multitude of results. I like YouTube as you can find a tutorial for practically anything. 👍

Also, just be aware, that W10 has had a ton of problems with the restore function. It may not work without doing one of the 10 zillion workarounds available on the microsoft help desk thingy. That is what happened to me. I finally gave up and got linux. It works perfectly every time and never crashes. Sooooo much better than W10 for me. I am using Mint, in case you ever want to try it out.
