Our local library system is starting to reopen! :dancingchili: They've been closed since the Covid crisis started. I'm a reader. I have plenty of books at home. Have been rereading old favorites, but now I have access to what the library has.

The building is still closed to the public. You order books online. They email you when the books are ready. Then you schedule an appointment online to collect your books. I'm going today to pick up a couple I ordered.

I look forward to the day the building reopens. I love just wandering the stacks looking at books, checking new authors. For now I'm content with access to new books.

Great news! My library allows us to get ebooks and audiobooks to our phones. I mainly listen to audiobooks nowadays.

Oh that's great news. That's what my library is doing too. I called and told them how I pick mums books. Go to large print new books pick out 2 mystery, 1 weastern, 1 inspiration and 1 romantic book by new tags. Done that twice now. The first time was a winner the second time got a couple she'd already read. But it's great!

That is FABulous! I have read and re-read all of my favorite books, the ones I own. I've purchased a few online, but they take awhile to arrive. Our library (which is just down the block from where I live) closed with no notice on March 11th. Finally this week they're doing curbside pick-up.

No one seems to know when the actual building will be opening, but doesn't look like it'll be soon.

I am glad I am not alone. I have missed my local library. Yesterday it opened again.... woohooo. Somebody had been busy with marking the floors with tape to direct people around. Lots of hand sanitizer in various spots. I was able to pick up a book that I had been waiting for since the start of lockdown.

I cant wait for the DVDs that I have been waiting for to filter through the system.

That's great news. Our libraries are reopening this week, with the same restrictions. Will be glad where they're totally open.

I read almost anything. I've been known to read the cereal box at breakfast just to have something to read.

The two I picked up this week are Stephen King's The Institute and Heather Graham's Phantom Evil. Saw the King book at Wally World and it looked interesting. A friend suggested I try the Graham book. It's the first in a series she thinks I'll like.

I'm waiting for the books I ordered from my library to arrive, so for now I'm re-reading a good Alice Hoffman novel.

Just ordered a new book yesterday and dropped off the old ones today. I'm on book 6 of 17 of a Minnesota author. While I was in Texas I read Texas authors so now I have to catch up on the Minnesota authors. I'm not fond of King 's book, they tend to be too dry and long. I tried the tower series and couldn't get past the first book.

I ordered like 6 books from my local bookshop. They were struggling. But normally, I love the library. Even just to browse books and walk around.

That's good of you. I've been ordering a few books from independent book sellers on either Amazon or ABEbooks.

Nammu, the first of the Dark Tower series is horrible. The second is fantastic.

I'm headed to the library today to get the newest Craig Johnson book.
