Ride on the train 1/2 way across the US to spend the summer with my grandparents.
All the fun fishing outings I did with my grandpa & his friends from work who knew the farmers in Kansas & let us hike through their farms to get to the creeks. (Always was the outdoors type person) Lol....I can do it on my own farm now but it is just NOT the same

My mother. I would be elated if I could have her alive and well again. She passed away when I was 33.
I always felt sad that this mean kid stole my Misty Rose banana seat bike. I loved that bike. I miss that I could eat pretty much as much candy as I liked without gaining weight. I particularly miss the strawberry flavor of Charleston Chew. I miss my ballet classes. |

I miss getting up in the morning, taking a salt container and a couple cans of oranges. And being on my pony with my dog all day long. We didn't come home till dusk. I sometimes took a book too. I'd ride to other places then climb a tree while my dog chased scents and my horse chewed grass and I read a book up in the tree.
When I got a bit older we spent the summers up north at the cabin. I'd be out on the lake all day in the canoe with my dog. We spent a lot of time on the other side of the bay where there was an abandoned old house.

My grandparents. Both my grandmas and one grandpa passed when I was already an adult. One grandpa died of unexpected illness when I was 16. He never got to see great grandkids or see us to be adults etc He was a great guy. All my grandparents were very awesome

Going to camp for 10 days every summer - the happiest days of my childhood
Getting together with a couple cousins we were close to The music (70s) The tv shows (70s) Fighting w/ my brother - I'd give anything to get beat up by him again (he died in 2000 from suicide) So much less violence and strife in the world Not having to worry about anything My deceased relatives |

I miss simply being a child. Not working and worrying about bills, and waiting on bills, and possible future bills, etc.

I've never been a particularly nostalgic person, almost the opposite... i wanted/was curious to go on
But the last years of my life have been very bad and i lost two important persons (one is my father); so i found myself thinking about the past Before this, i just used to think about the past sometimes with a jealous eye, regretting some things but then i used to quickly return to the present and think about how to fix and grow... even if, again, in the last two-three years i started feeling discouraged for a mix of factors :/ And now go to sleep wishing that Dr Who could appear and knock at my door to travel back to times where some shits weren't already happened ![]() To better answer the question: i still do not miss the childhood so much because it wasn't all just funny and games... But since now i wish that i was a better daughter, i miss: the innocence, the possibility of creating something good, and express simple love to my parents and relatives But i recognize that to have a whole life ahead it's a big thing; one needs to be guided a bit and stay calm |

My extended family. I moved, and that triggered a bunch of events to happen years later.
I miss having friends. But now I think about it, they may not have been true friends. I need to make relationships and not push people away. |

Being able to really draw. It's seems I lost the skill I once had. I think I gave it up the day I saw my mother stomp all over my artwork I gave her.

I miss the colorful aluminum glasses. You could put them in the refrigerator and they'd keep the koolaid-aid cold longer, perfect for hot summer days

Going to the Atlantic City boardwalk on Easter Sunday. This was before gambling ruined it. When I was a child everyone went to the AC boardwalk and paraded their Easter outfits.
