Is it just me or does anyone else think "thumbs up" emoticons are just rude? I suppose in certain context, it's fine, it's just not my style and it rubs me the wrong way.
Thoughts? |

I don’t see it as rude. I mean it depends. If you say you love someone and they send you thumbs up then it’s bizarre. But if it’s quick note “meet in front of the main door at 9am”, thumb up is just fine

On the flip side, I've used the thumbs up before, like when I've been very busy and didn't have time to have an actual conversation. Its like saying 'ok." Or "I hear you, over and out." |

Omg yes!!! To the point where my mom finally had to stop using it because that’s the only way she’d respond to my texts and it really annoyed me.
