Who was your first crush/celebrity crush?

Mine was Tom Petty. Even though he has passed on (and I really miss him) I still find a "spark" when I look at his past photos and I find so much comfort in listening to his music. It doesn't help that my best friend whom I love looks just like him.

Mine was my dentist when I was 4. I switched to a pediatric dentist after that so I only saw him a couple times. But I saw him for X-rays in 2014 and he’s still pretty cute.

1st celebrity crush was Jo/ Nancy Mckeon from The Facts Of Life when I was 7.

Tom Petty was such a sweetheart.

My first celeb crush was David Cassidy. Had a big poster of him on my wall. I was around 9 years old.

I still find Andy Gibb's smile irresistible. I had all his albums and whenever he was on TV, I wanted to watch. Though all of his hits were co-written with his brothers, the songs that were written by him only had more of a country feel and were also nice.

I am probably weird. I never had celebrity crushes.

But I remember my first crush. I liked this one boy, I was in art camp and he was in sports camp on the same grounds. Not even sure why I liked him so much. I just remember I was fascinated

Pat Boone when I was 4 or 5. My musical tastes have changed radically since then.

Lark, did you ever see Tom Petty in concert? Man, oh man did he put on a show! One of his songs was life altering for me. I loved Refugee. Then one day I heard the chorus as if it was directed at me ("you don't have to live like a refugee"). Can't explain why it struck me that day after years of listening to the song, but I realized I did not have to keep living like the beaten down, scared mouse that I was. It was empowering.

My very first crush was a little boy that lived next to one of my childhood friends. He was cute! I think I was maybe 7 or 8 and he was 9 or 10. I asked him if I could kiss him, and he said yes. Of course I kissed him on the cheek. That was very nice! I don't believe I even saw him again after that. Oh well!

I think my next major crushes were when I was 16/17 years old. The celebrity was Bono, and coincidentally the guy at my school I had a crush on looked like Bono. I did talk to that guy (not Bono) a number of times, but I guess he wasn't interested in me enough to turn into dating. The sad story with that guy is that in May 2019 I went to my 30th high school reunion. He wasn't there, but a female classmate of mine said that he kept in touch with her and started stalking her. She had to call the police on him. She then made a rather harsh and stigmatic statement about him being mentally ill and in and out of the psych hospital. I was a little shocked. I certainly understood her feeling fear, but was certainly sad for that guy, as well. Frankly, I left the reunion feeling quite melancholy because of that story,

I liked David Cassidy too as Keith on the Partridge Family reruns in the 80s. I was 3 years old.

Tom Petty was great. Didn't have a crush on him myself, but his music is excellent.

Had to think back about this. My first real celeb crush was probably Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement and the lion king. Haha.

My first celebrity crush was Brendan Fraser (back when he was ripped. Think Encino Man and George of the Jungle). Not the way he looks today...
