In my late teens I had an interview at Hooters. I'm flat chested for one and by no means fit any standard of "beauty" at Hooters and am so self-conscious that I would be so embarrassed by being cat called. I have no idea why I applied there. That's something I've done that makes me go, "What? Why did I do that!?"
What is something you've done that makes you ask yourself, "Why did I do that!?" |

In 2017 saying to my brother in laws super religious parents that I lost “69” pounds. I was just telling the truth and didn’t realize until later. I cringe whenever I think about it. Why didn’t I just say 68 or 70 lol.

EDIT: I get how awkward that would be...I actually said "slut" in front of a large group of 6th graders while making a point about bullying. I regret that a lot but I was trying to be "real" with them.

Too many to count, too many to list. At least half of them, okay maybe a quarter, a family member was forcing me or strongly urging, against my better judgment. But i listened to them instead of standing up for myself and regretted it every time and lost myself for a long time because of it.

Probably my most cringe worthy moment was back in university when I was asked to judge a high school debating tournament. One of the girls I saw was really good, and I told her I loved her style that she was a real B****. I meant it as a compliment, but it was totally inappropriate.

I often question, on bad fibro days, why I have to force my body to do more than it's able to on that day
and also on bad depression days I guess |

I just realized today that I did not turn in my references for the final presentation, so I got a C on the presentation after I worked so hard on it. I'm banging my head against the wall, I am so angry with myself. GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!
And then I blurted out my mistake to my mom and she rolled her eyes and told me to shut up and stop bugging her. WHY DID I DO THAT!?!?!?!? |

In my 20a when I visited Manhatten borough of NYC I picked a man who was a total stranger and slept with him. Not really slept. You know what I meant by slept.

Pretty much every sexual experience.
I didn't want to do that. Why did I agree to it? |

Well, I have bipolar disorder, so when manic (or even just hypomanic) , I have done or said all kinds of major shake the head things. Adding some booze into the mix never helped.
Speaking of booze, maybe three years after three psych hospitalizations per year, and an initial detox from alcohol, I had been accepted to receive SS disability. I was still struggling with mania or hypomania, so decided to enter training to become a professional bartender. I made it to the intro class, but it ended at that. I think I was soon after hospitalized again (or near so). Believe me that that career would not have been a good match for me. |

I looked at this real nasty sub on Reddit. I was on cursed subs and then it directed me to that one It was for sure the worst thing I’ve seen on Reddit.

I have a long tendency to utter the most bizarre oddities when I am talking. Out of nowhere, I will say something that has people literally turning to each other and saying 'what on earth is he talking about'

When I was utterly and completely manic this year I emailed my boss to inform him I'm bipolar and it's only dark minded people like him who view me as inadequate.
This was at 3:00am in the morning. Which seemed completely normal at the time. Far out I want to die of embarrassment. |

This is a dumb one, but I was strung up on opiates after my surgery and I had my mom return 4 tank tops I had gotten on clearance for $8 each a couple weeks before. I am super pissed I did that but I was so out of it.

a while ago, after coming out of the supermarket, I saw a woman on a bench
I walked up to her and asked if she was waiting for something and she didn't respond, so I asked her where she was from and she told me she was from romania, and when I asked where she was currently living, it dawned on me that the reason she was sat on the bench was because she was homeless. I backed away feeling awkward..... I just asked ahomeless woman where she lived and what she was waiting for well: in my defence, I didn't just asume she was homeless. after all you can't do that |

I think I asked PC this...now I think of it I feel stupid. I asked if taking prenatal vitamins was safe even if I wasn't pregnant. At the time I figured you absolutely had to be pregnant to take prenatal vitamins or it wasn't good for you but I got a lot of "well, of course it's safe if pregnant women can take it."
