as in, bookmarking websites of interest for later.

I have recently started using them. a lot easier than typing the full address sometimes
Thanks for this!

they are also great if you come across a site you don't use much, but want to save it for later to go back to a news aritckle or a point of interest

I’ve never figured out how to use book marks but if I want to go back to a site, I usually just type in specific words in the search bar on the internet on my phone and that will bring me back to the site I want to look at again.

All of the time. I click them multiple times per day. I have my main six in my bookmarks bar and well over a dozen others in the side lists. The ones in the side list are occasionally accessed. I actually recently deleted at least 10.
Thanks for this!

For a minute there I thought it was about bookmarks for books! but yes, I do have about 40 bookmarks for my desktop with Google. I have a tendency to bookmark stuff and 12 months later delete it again as I often don't use them.

If you us Google Chrome, click the right corner under the X (to close Chrome but don't close your browser, click under that spot) and all sorts of tools come up (new tab, incognito, etc.) and the bookmark tool. Click on bookmark and you usually figure it out from there. I recall that all the browsers I have used (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) have a bookmark tool--usually you can click around to figure it out via exploration.

I use the bookmark tool all of the time. Some of my bookmarks have remained for years because they are so useful. I also have days where I am bookmarking lots of things I want to go back to but just end up deleting most of the bookmarks later because reading everything on the internet can be a bad use of time. The same thing goes for the YouTube watch later function.

I also thought this was for book bookmarks until I opened it. I do bookmark sites sometimes. In my studies, I bookmark stuff. Other than that what I usually do more often, is put the link in my notes on my phone. I also share privately (only to myself) on FB.

Yes, I've always bookmarked recipes, articles, information resources.
