I had left the pc community a couple of years ago once I started working this job that had ridiculous hours and I unfortunately lost touch with a lot of people on here. When I tried to come back, I saw that pc is completely different and the forums were gone. I was so sad and lost on what to do. But I googled for the bipolar forum and found this place again. I'm so glad it didn't disappear! But now I'm left wondering, when did this separation occur??

I am REALLY bad at timelines but I'm pretty sure it was a few months ago.

I don't know if you saw this thread or not but it explains what happened: Important! The next chapter for the Psych Central Forums

Welcome back

Welcome back!

Yes Healthline bought Psych Central but didn't want the forums. So Doc John is still running them.

I think Health Line is running the forums, but with Doc John's assistance. ??

What I heard is that Health Line did not want them. They gave them back to him. They only wanted the articles on Psych Central.

I wonder if this would be the reason why people I used to see on here are no longer here....??

Well, I think only to a small degree, gina_re. Some members claimed to want to leave because ads showed up, but it is possible to get rid of the ads. Others I think simply stepped away because of busy lives, perhaps because they were doing well and didn't need support, or had uncomfortable interactions here. Or some other reasons.

It's nice to see you back. I do remember you from way back when.

I agree. I don't think it's the only reason, but it did throw me off. A lot of us disappear once we're doing ok, so I understand that as well.
It's good to be back.

It's all change around here all right, and I think a few posters just moved on. A few like myself came back in recent times. It might look quite at times but there is always one or two of us around waiting in the wind to say hello to someone else.

I know of 3 people who left because of the ads, which is too bad because if you change the theme colors the ads go away. I know 3 who left because of an interpersonal conflict. Again - sad. A few others, I'd love to hear from...??
