Hi, I have tried to figure out how to put a pic or those moving characters by my name or in my post. How do you do that. I would really like to know. Can anyone help me? please.

hey ginny,

when making a new post, look over to the right. you'll see a few boxes, one saying "instant smilies", and one below it saying "instant UBB code". Click the "Image" link in the "Instant UBB code box. a little window will pop up asking you to insert the URL to your image. just paste the URL code in there, and the pic will show up when you post!

Ginny, your "My Profile" tab, "Edit Personal" has a place for an "avatar", those pictures by your name.

Mel, Perna I am still not having any luck. I feel like a block head. I can get to the pop up but I have no url insert to put in the box. Where do I get this from? It looks like I should type in a web address. Perna- I tried w/ profile tab, edit but then I didnt see an avatar to insert. I saw something like your talking about earlier . I will keep trying. Please bear with me.

Ginny, on the posting page, it says Instant Smiles, has 2 1/2 rows of smiles, the last one is a cowboy and then says more smiles. Click that. A box will open with several selections. Click on the one you want. In the post box, (where I am typing right now) you will see it say something like :spin heart OR :Chili
Then you know you have it. Then hit your continue button and when your post goes to top WAAALAAAA spinning heart or Chili, or whatever you chose. Hope that helps. pics & stuff

First you have to upload a picture to Psych Central. Under Photos at the top of a page, choose Upload Photos. Once you have uploaded a (small file size) picture, then you get the URL of it on Psych Central, and introduce that into the image link.

I have had trouble getting the right Psych Central URL for photos I upload. Once you get the full-sized picture, then you can get its URL (probably by right-clicking on it and choosing something like "Copy Image Location" or whatever your browser has as a similar option).
