I will spend the holiday at home by myself. I'm cooking a little something easy to celebrate. I'll wish all my friends well and I'll message my family. I might call my mom. I'll play games and work on art. I'll do my best to make it a nice day.

I have this whole trip planned to see family at my home state. But I will be at the hotel by myself for Thanksgiving night because I hate Thanksgiving with a passion. I’ll probably bring some little cups of Mac and cheese and some other snacks. No ones forcing me to go either. My mom is ok with me staying at the hotel. Then Black Friday I’m going shopping with my mom and brother to all the stores I frequented before I moved. Later for dinner I’m going over to my aunts for a smaller family gathering for pizza and I’ll be going to that so my family knows I don’t hate them I just hate big family gatherings. Mainly it’s one cousin in particular that I’m avoiding for thanksgiving. I guess I’m looking forward to the trip but I’m mainly looking forward to the shopping on Friday. I’m leaving on Saturday.

I will have kitty. Normally I spend the day in Canada but they have too many restrictions on travel there.

Yes. I've already accepted the impending onslaught of depression. I won't be too unhealthy this year but at the same time my expectations are very low. I'll buy a rotisserie chicken & cornbread and try to go for a hike somewhere new. If I stay in bed and watch TV all day, that is ok too.

I hope my husband and I go to a diner the night before T-g. He and I don't live together so I expect to spend the holiday with my cats. It would be nice to go to a movie. I don't mind going by myself.

I actually might be. My husband works on thanksgiving this year. and for number of reasons I just don’t feel like hanging out with family. I actually want to be by myself. Work is so bad and stressful this year that I am looking forward to just being off work and home.

I'll be alone. No turkey, no trimmings, no sides, no pies. I'll try to eat healthy though. I just want to be online and focus on being thankful for what I have.

It's a really depressing time for me, so I try to cope by being online.

I am volunteering in the morning delivering meals to people in need. No plans for the actual meal. I've had a couple last minute invitations before so may get one this year. If not, I'll be ok eating takeout at home and chatting on here.

I was going to stay home for Thanksgiving but this weekend my mom and I decided to do a little Thanksgiving at her house. I feel good about it. And then later I will chat with my sister C on Discord. So I'm excited.

Gonna have a quiet day at home with the fur babies. Am looking forward to it. Fixing some turkey parts and the traditional sides. Going to watch the National Dog show in the afternoon and just veg. Likely sounds boring to others. Sounds like heaven to me.

I spoke too soon. I so wish I could be home alone or perhaps just see my dad. Now it turns out we have to go to this annoying extended family. Last year we got out of it because of covid and now I tried but wasn’t successful. Plus if I don’t go, my dad will be not too happy as he himself doesn’t want to go.

These people rub us the wrong way. My husband always says the husband in the family acts like his underwear too tight lol he us lucky he works so doesn’t have to deal with them

During the Thanksgivings when I had no Thanksgiving meal to cook or eat, I used to always declutter and organize. It was my way of preparing for a brand new year. I would begin on Thanksgiving and then finish in time to ring in the New Year!

I'm not good with change, so all changes I've been through since 2018 have left me completely cluttered and disorganized. I'm still trying - after all these recent years - to get decluttered and organized. Who knows - I might be able to do it if my energy allows. I'm just super exhausted today since I walked 2.5 miles yesterday for medical labs. Not how I wanted to spend Thanksgiving pre-day, but I also am preparing for the surges in our state that likely follow.

Anyway, I hope you are able to get some decluttering done!

Alone. But I think even worse, I have to leave the house for a few hours so people will think I went someplace and don't pity me.

I would be happy to watch a good series on Hulu or such but if I do, I will be the talk of the apartment complex... or pity.

I'm alone every holiday. There were only a few holidays when I was invited to a friend's home.

But lately, for the past few years at least, I've been utterly alone.

At least I have this group.

Well, looks like I will have 2 family members with me this Christmas. I would be happy enough on my own but having those 2 here will either be the making of me or, well, I guess I will manage ok.

They talk about what neighbors do in their spare time and if they go anywhere? These people need a life. I have no idea who goes where and who does what in my condominium. Who cares. Strange people.

For many people thanksgiving is nothing to celebrate at all, looking from historical perspective.

This day is barely started now for me. I went crazy and started my laundry at 6 AM. I woke up around 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. For some strange reason, I thought that all kinds of people will want to do their laundry at that time. It's a small laundry room at my apartment. It seems like just about everyone here is gone. Well, that's kind of nice for me. So far I'm very glad that I haven't bumped into anyone here and then having them ask me what will I be doing today. I used to hate being asked what will I do for the holidays back in the days when I was working.
