Hi everyone. I am back to Psych Central (which I see has changed its name) after being away for a number of years. I began here in 2004. Is there anybody still around from those dinosaur years? LOL. Curious minds want to know!

It's an app I downloaded on my phone. I had to in order to use the site I think I've had it for a long time maybe 5 years or more. I access the whole site through this and can reply to most things bar visitor posts to my profile. Also can't see anything you can on a PC or Laptop. Hope that helps a bit lol!

Miss Laura, good to know. Lol. One is never too old to gain new knowledge. With that being said, I barely know how to use a cell phone at all. I can call people and text....that's about it!! LOL. But it's great to have the security of having a phone with me wherever I go.....even though I don't leave the apartment much.

Thanks for the tech talk. Nice to have you around.

Hi splitimage. It's amazing to see that there are still a few old-timers around here. I was sure that practically everyone would be gone from the time I used to roam these rooms. Maybe we leave for periods of time, and then find ourselves back in the comfort of this site.

I don't recognize any of the names who say that they are old-timers, but then again, 2004+ was a LONG time ago. I'm an old-timer in AGE now, too! LOL. When did this white hair ever take over my head?!?

Have a great day!

Hi SandyWeb, I'm not an old timer on the forum, but I'm edging toward that label IRL. Anyway, I want to say that I really like the quote in your signature. btw, you're not alone...all I know what to do on my cell phone is make a call and (slowly) text.

Hi BethRags. What has happened to your kitty? He only seems to have a head! LOL.

Cell phones are interesting gadgets, aren't they? Too bad some of us barely know what to do with them. I'm a slow texter, too. While I'm still trying to finish a text to someone, they are already continuing on with the conversation. I get so far left behind!!! Lol. How the heck do people push those tiny letters so quickly, especially with just their thumbs!! Slow and steady the turtle moves on.....

I see you live in downtown California. Lol. I lived in California for 11 years when I was married. I am Canadian, and when the marriage ended, the kids and I left and came back home. I'm on the east coast now.

Thanks for reaching out to me. I'm glad you like my signature. It means a lot to me because sometimes people will NOT let you forget your past and continue to use it against you! So frustrating when the past is the past....period.

Enjoy your evening. I hope to hear from you again.

The kitten is wrapped up in a hat. But it's not mine, it's just a pic I found somewhere.

Wow, the east coast of Canada...you probably have snow already.

Yes, these smart phones are actually great for me. It is my computer I take everywhere with me & my camera all wrapped up on such a small piece of equipment. I am an old timer IRL but had a techie career as a computer design engineer. First project I worked on was a hand held terminal for the military. The lithium battery weighed 5 lbs. It had data link & GPS capability in the 1980's....lol....my phone does 1000 times more & a lot smaller.

Think we had our own areas of interest here on PC back then & paths didn't always cross. Glad you are back & hope you settle back in

Hi BethRags. SNOW???? Lol. We're not even close to that white stuff yet. We had a heat humidex just the other day. The evenings are getting on the chilly side, but that's because it is Fall. You definitely don't need to wear a winter coat yet. Lol. I guess I need to invite you to the Atlantic coast. LOL. We might get some snow in December, but we always wonder if we will have a green Christmas. The winter cold weather doesn't really affect us until after the new year sometime. It's hard to tell now since the weather is changing in the world and it stays warmer now.

Some people are still wearing shorts now. Not for me! I get cold easily. Pants and long-sleeves now....but not winter tops yet.

Take care and thanks for getting back to me.

Hi eskielover. Yes, I'm an old-timer IRL too. How did that ever happen? I remember when I could move my body in certain ways and it didn't hurt! Lol!!

You are lucky to understand your cell phone. I have an old Google Nexus 5, and I'm scared to get rid of it for these fancier phones. I know the battery must be about to start complaining to me since I've had it for so many years, and nothing is produced anymore for Nexus. I know how to use it, though. I don't have anyone to show me how to work these dang newer phones. Up goes the anxiety! Lol.

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't really had a chance to settle in yet. I'm dealing with a situation that is taking my focus away from everything else. I want to just sit down at the computer and converse with people here on the site, but I'm a little on the distracted side right now. Trying to work out a problem that is impacting my anxiety. I'm feeling quite overwhelmed. A solution will come along SOON, right?

Keep in touch. Stay well.
