Hi everyone!
I thought we could use this space to play "Show and Tell" and share photos or text of things that we are proud of...only this time we won't have to stand up in front of the class: we get to do it in the comfort of wherever we find comfortable! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's my show and tell. It's a photo of me that my mom took while we celebrated my birthday at the casino. We had an absolute blast! We had mimosas with our lunch and had hot hot hot hot slots that was raining money on us...We were both ahead when we left. Then we had Dutch Bros coffee afterwards and had a very good evening. I don't take many photos of myself, but I really love this photo, and even though I'm wearing a mask, I thought this is perfect to share here since it keeps me pretty anonymous. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I always thought you are gorgeous. This is a different hair style than what I remember in your old pics. I like it a lot! Nice necklace too. So glad you had fun on your birthday

Wow what a nice birthday 🎂 that is a great photo.
I’ll have to think of something to show and tell. ![]()

I have to share this!
This is based on a creative writing prompt from my mom about special talents. I want to share this for my Show and Tell because I'm sure a lot of people can relate when it comes to bath time, and my special talent is helping the elderly with bath time (as a caregiver). Enjoy!!! An Ode to Bath Time Today I took a bath With my rubber ducky Bubbles and peppermint oil I scrub a dubbed Until I felt clean and holy Like the power of the steamy hot temp Washed away the pain and grief As I sank lower and lower Blowing bubbles from my nose Letting the menthol of the peppermint Relieve the tension of a hard day's work Why do I sit and argue with myself About whether I really need to be clean When the bath is so hot and inviting Billowing bubbles going poof poof poof when I slide in What is there to dread? Is this what the elderly think? When I drag them by the arm Promising them they'll be a new man or woman And "No, no, no!" they cry "Don't put me in the tub!" "Oh," I thought as I gather up the sudsy bubbles "You'll feel so much better." They grunted and grumbled, and they did other things to bide their time Anything but a bath, good gracious no So I thought, while sitting in the tub Why do I feel this way? Like them, afraid of the bath? Even though they're required two baths a week Sometimes, it can be two weeks before they step in Or worse, a month, oh I can't bear to fathom those who go longer Am I really that bad? The bath can be too hot Or not enough bubbles Sometimes, I just feel sad And go without a bath For a few days, or do I daresay a week? I hate to admit, I am lucky to get clean once a week The effort is treacherous By god, the scrubbing and the tediousness of it all. To get undressed, my ugly nakedness Would scare most people silly And oh, the steam would fog up my glasses And then I'd have to change clothes "But oh, Mr. Wesley, you'll be a brand new man Think of how good you'll feel Your day will start out right When you get into clean clothes after a nice hot bath" And they'd get angry, if I push them too hard But eventually they'd cave in And something special would happen When I start scrub a dubbing... "Why, you're right! This bath is just perfect I could sit in this tub all day And I even feel young again These bubbles just lift my spirits I'm not ashamed of my nakedness anymore You make me feel safe...and clean!" See, that wasn't so bad I thought as I pull the plug No, I won't hop up I want to sit there till the water is gone And I'll throw the towel on me when the tub's empty Because I'm just so pleased with the bath It was so darn delightfrul And I feel like a new woman So my special gift, one so unique Is one I take great pleasure in Helping those with bath time Even though its something I struggle with myself But like them, I'm very similar in a very unique way... You can drag me to the bath, But don't you dare drag me out!!! |

My real name (not legal but the one I use now) is either the name of a member from The Beatles, The Monkees, or The Beach Boys. Have fun guessing.

I guess George.
About baths, I used to love them and have a nice big tub, but now that I'm obese it's difficult to get up out of the tub. So I mainly shower. |

Is it Mike Love? That's a pretty cool sounding name. He was in The Beach Boys. 🙂
