Though I wouldn't say it out loud, deep down I still believe Santa exists. I know he was based on a real person centuries ago, but I still believe in Santa Claus and believe in Christmas Spirit and Christmas magic.
I cry a lot around Christmas time and it's not all sad tears. I get really choked up listening to Christmas music and while watching Christmas movies and I'm always on the lookout for Christmas miracles. Not just my own but when watching soldiers reunite with their families and when someone gets a second chance and when families come together or when people overcome hardship. I think Christmas time is so magical even when the world looks gloomy. This year I may have my own Christmas miracle. My whole life I wanted a white Christmas but where I live now snow is a rarity and very unusual, but this weekend snow is in the forecast!!!! Do you believe in Santa and Christmas miracles? Have you ever experienced or witnessed a Christmas miracle? Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎄🎄 |

I like tracking Santa on the Norad Santa tracker website each year. I think its fun. I stayed up until midnight one year until he got to my state.
This year I've listened to Christmas music but thats about it. I'll have A Christmas Story on for a bit but not for the whole day. I know most of what I'm getting but there will be a couple suprises. My mom is really excited about my sister and her family being over all day. I saved some treats throughout the year specifcally for the next 2 days. I do know for a fact this year will be better for me then last year was. My dad would always say "I like to see the holidays come and I like to see the holidays go" and I think about that every year. I received an email for winter snow warnings from 6am Friday to 6am Saturday. Again where I live it's not something that happens here often...the warning is mostly for up in the mountains and for those traveling in certain regions. But there is a good possibility for snow flurries here that may catch here and there but if Im lucky I'll stay up till midnight to see if it's snowing or if I'm even luckier I'll wake up in the morning to see some patches of snow. Snow flurries or patches of snow on Christmas is a Christmas miracle enough for me! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Fingers crossed you get a white Christmas @LiteraryLark!
I haven't seen one in a long time. No chance of it this year, as I'm in India visiting extended family. This trip has been very long and full of mishaps and I'm still not at my final destination. But I'm glad I haven't had a panic attack yet. I seem to be taking things in stride. |

I feel so foolish when it comes to the whole believeing in santa thing
I believe in him, a lot, but he never comes to my house. year after year, I believe in a man in red suit with reindeer, but never actually get a single gift from him as a kid, I even had the custom speech... santa isn't real, you know that right? but I turned round and basically ignored it. sometimes I wonder though why he never comes. it's not like I've been naughty I don't really believe in christmas miracles, honestly. one year we had a power outage and the power came on just in time for christmas eve, but that's luck. not a miracle if I could have a miracle, their would be like a million things I'd ask for |

I don't believe in a guy coming down the chimney and leaving presents, of course I did as a kid and left him a sherry, a mince pie and carrots for the reindeer!!
![]() I can see where the legend came from with the story of St Nicolas. We've just got rain tomorrow so will get wet walking my dog. My (mobility) scooter can handle light (fresh) snow that's not deep but once its iced over after a freezing night we can't get out until the road thaws out and a bit longer before I can get scooter on a playing field again to let dog have an off-lead rum! Snow and ice are a nightmare when you use a wheelchair or walking aids!! |

There are miracles. International borders are open. So my overseas family is able to travel here. They are already in the US but in a different location for few days and then they arrive here. It’s our Christmas and Hanukkah miracle.

Without the politicization of Christmas, the child parts of me believe in Santa Clause - kind of in the same way that they believe in magic and the Harry Potter world.
As far as "miracles" are concerned, no, we don't believe in the religion of that, especially as trauma survivors of many things, including spiritual abuse. |

I'm very confused by your response, Sprinkles. I read it several times and I need you to clarify because the way you wrote it appears conflicting with the theme of this thread.

I believe good, improbable things can happen around Christmas and the emotions surrounding that will be heightened. My own Christmas miracle would be getting something like a message over Facebook from any of my bio family members on there, but this is really unlikely to happen.

I think this thread was in a light holiday spirit kind of thing not that actual Santa flies over my house with his reindeers. Why not keep holiday spirit going? Not everything has to be that serious. Life is too serious as it is |

Darn. Had a friend request on Facebook, but it was another stupid random man I don’t know. I don’t even have my photo on my account so I don’t know why they bother. Really had me going for a minute, though!

I fell asleep before he reached the USA. I tracked him when he was in Canada and then I fell asleep.
I did see when he got to London though. |

Sorry - I was highly triggered on Christmas Day for some reason, and I don't know what I was saying or posting or responding. My T helped me a lot, but it took me forever to find this thread again to apologize.
Sometimes I am okay with religious talk, and other times I'm not. I have a dissociative disorder (DID), so it's hard to figure out what is going on inside me to be triggered. But I'm glad that @LiteraryLark was able to have her miracle White Christmas! Yay! The little alters inside me still somewhat believe in Santa. But some alters within are hurt by religious stuff. I think parts of me was responding to the question in the OP than what you said before the question. I don't think they meant it directed at you for your miracle or beliefs. I think it was more along the lines of things that they felt couldn't be spoken, but maybe I can feel safe to say them now since Christmas has passed. I was spiritually abused in the past, but I don't know how or why. I can't remember much, but it's just this strange feeling that I, the main person (not an alter) feels around Christmas. I like Christmas and all the different cultures and celebrations around it. But sometimes I freak out for some reason, and sometimes an alter has an experience that I don't know about. At those times, both my alter and myself freak out, so then I don't know what I'm doing. My T had to help me. I think I had to get grounded somehow, because this wasn't the only thread that freaked me out that day. I then had to shut off my computer. But now I'm okay. I'm sorry. I'm hoping that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and miracles. I also hope that we all have a wonderful New Year, too! Hopefully 2022 will bring miracles of their own to all of our lives. ((((safe hugs)))) for all. ![]() |

I'm confused by my response, too. I really don't know why I responded that way. Please forgive me.
