I cleaned my fish bowls today and they look so much happier. My little bettas are blowing bubbles and it brings me so much joy to sit and watch my bettas.

I get super happy to clean things whether at home or at work. I love that clean feeling and how much it makes my mom and dad happy to come home to a clean house. In the early afternoon Mom and Dad wanted to go out for a little while, so I speed cleaned the house (even though I did lots of extra scrubbing) and by the time the house was done I had got halfway through my first fish tank when they walked through the door...Mom and Dad went, "Yaaaayyy, a clean house! It smells so nice in here!" and it made me soooooo happy.

I get really excited about snails, sloths, and slow-moving animals because they try so hard to get to where they're going and they're enjoying the journey, and I find it so inspiring.

I get a tremendous amount of joy of picking up the mail. I get ecstatic if I see my name on the envelope even if it's junk...hey, someone thought of me. You should see the level of awe on my face when I receive a package, even if I ordered it. And it just blows my mind to get a hand written letter. Bahahahahaha!

What are some little things that bring you joy?

Cuddling with my furry babies
The cats purring.
Getting out of the shower, putting on a clean sleep shirt and crawling into to crisp, clean sheets dried on the line.
Freshly mown yard

I LOVE the smell of fresh cut lawn. I even love the sound of the lawnmower cuz it means I'll have that nice smell afterwards.

My little bromeliads.🙂💚

These are tank bromeliads which collect water around the stem like a pitcher plant, creating small habitats for insects and even frogs. They also absorb the nutrients of deceased insects. I brought them inside due to strong winds which I worry might snap their stems, but as you can see, there are new shoots.

I'm looking forward to seeing how big they'll get and how many more flowers will sprout.
