I have a tree... right next to my home and big window.... I put a squirrel feeder on the tree when I moved in...

It is a large glass jar... on it's side.. housed in wood... kinda hard to explain...

But... lol.... with the cold weather and the snow we have been having..

the cutest little squirrel... has taken up residence in the jar... it is now his home... he ate all the food out... and now... it is his warm, snuggly home...

I don't have the heart to take it away... so I put food on the ground so that the other squirels can eat...

I get such a view of him sleeping... and he is so cute..... all warm for the winter...

I know what you are talking about with the jar...... and reading your story gave me "warm fuzzies" as I placed a mental image in my head of the squirrel sleeping in the jar.

Does he have any stuffing in the jar to help keep him warm? - if not try placing some napkins, toilet paper or pieces of fleece around the bottle for him to pull in side the jar.

What a cute idea, Freewill! Is this in the tree that shed all it's leaves at once in the Fall? Talk about "The Giving Tree"!

What fun it will be to watch all year long! Maybe the squirrel will raise a family there in the spring. new squirrel home
