8 kilometres size. The one that provoked the death of dinosaurs is supposed to be 12 km. Without any doubt it’s something to be concerned.

I’m sorry to say it but it’s a matter of time that one of these meteors crashes on the Earth. It’s how Universe works.
And now, Bruce Bills is retired 🤨

Just fyi - hurtle means like tumbling crazy fast topsy turvy. Hurdle is what people and horses jump straight over in a race. Altho i like the idea of meteors hurdling in outer space.

I can always rely on you with grammar corrections hahah It’s funny but I didn’t know there is a word “hurtle”. Only “hurdle” as obstacle. Would it be pronounced the same?

Can one hurtle when they jump over a hurdle 🤣

I used to read a lot of science fiction - something is always hurtling thru space - usually towards the sun.

And yes, pronounced the same. Unless you are real particular. Or British?

Cheap orange pekoe ain't so bad if you steep it for a lifetime then warm it up back in a microwave. It's 3/4 palatable I swear!

After all kinds of herb teas, dandelion tea, coffee chai(!) and whatnot, i find a "regular" cup of tea to taste so familiar and comforting, its like a trip back to my childhood home when it was exotic to a child to be sharing a beverage with dad.

I hear that. Was pretty neat to have what the adults were having altho what I was given at the time was likely pretty weak. Tea and toast while watching prime-time TV before bed was a bit of a routine when I was six or 8 years old.. Good memories.

My mom worked nights (6 pm to bar closing) so about once a month my dad would declare a tea party on friday or saturday night. Toast never tasted so good!

Duke Kahanamoku was more than just the Father of Surf. He was a great athlete, a humble and big-hearted human being, and he personally rescued people by using his surfboard in the same tough weather, and bringing each one back to shore, after a small boat capsized. And this was when he was a middle-aged man. I don't know many people who would have the strength or spirit to actually achieve that. It was inspiring and encouraging.
