I have never got my head around how his cat can be alive and dead at the same time

And why he put his cat in a radioactive box in the first place

I'm not lending my girls to him to put in radioactive boxes

What did Schrodinger's Cat experiment prove? | Science Questions with Surprising Answers

I hope this helps explain. Fortunately no cats were actually used in such an experiment, it was just a theory used to illustrate a misunderstanding of quantum theory, it’s not meant to be factual.

It is a weird one though!

I never even knew that! I always thought it was real. A CAT?!! Why not put a cockroach in there instead? On second thought, supposedly they can survive anything which is why they have been around for millions of years.
