33F/1C feels like 20F but inside it’s 70F mum will be turning it up to 72F when she gets up.

Right now (8:17 am) it's -8°C (17°F) outside.

The temps inside vary. It's cooler downstairs than up. My guess is downstairs is around 20°C (68°F) and upstairs in the mid to high 20°Cs (70°Fs). My husband likes the thermostat high, plus at times we burn the woodstove which is set up to heat the whole house. The woodstove is completely out right now, though.

11:30 p.m. 41F (5C) (I don't know what the indoor temperature is, but it's feeling a bit chilly.)

Tonight will be the coldest night of the year, meaning the temperature will dip below freezing. So if it's this cold down in southern California (I'm in NorCal) the orange groves will have to have HUGE heaters blowing on the orange trees so the fruit doesn't freeze.

Two more weeks and the temperatures will start to subtly shift up a bit. I am so done with this cold weather. So done. I don't like when breathing hurts my nose and I need 78 blankets on my bed. Give me a nice 70 degrees.

Farmers here used to have heaters and nasty smug pots. They use sprinklers now. When the water freezes the ice insulates the fruit/plants.

It’s 35F/-1C but feels like 26F/-3C outside. There’s funny little symbols next to the temperature that I don’t know what they mean, fog?

Inside it’s 71F/21C

It’s 26f again, it snowed a little last night but mostly it’s ice. 68f indoors, and bundled up. Temps are supposed to rise a little in next few days, here’s hoping!

Dizzying heights of 34f today, it’s snowed a bit - is there any truth in the old saying it gets warmer when it snows?…. 68f indoors.

Y'all are going to hate me. It's raining so I had to close the windows. Got muggy in the house so I have the AC on.

On the other hand, the cold front that raised havoc north of here is moving through. It's raining like crazy and the wind is howling. We are under a tornado watch. Unusual for a cold front we are also getting humdinger thunder and lightning. BG is coming out of his skin as a result.

30° C outside (86° F) and the air is full of smoke from wildfires.

We have the AC on 18° (64° F) but it is definitely hotter than that.

25F/-3C but feels like 13F/-10C outside inside we’re a toasty 71F/21C. This will be the last warmish day outside for awhile.

At 8:40pm it's 55f outside 70f inside.

Weather service is predicting freezing temps this time next week. I know lots of you already have those temps. Bare in mind I live in the subtropics. Freezing temps here can be a disaster. I'll put in a fair amount of time and some hard work getting most of my plants moved indoors. I feel sorry for farmers in the area who will be up all night trying to save their crops.

-3°C (27°F) outside. Varies inside from 18°C (65°F) downstairs, but 23°C or so (70-something F) upstairs. My husband is currently getting a fire going in the woodstove.

Oh yeah, mum’s not going outside at all. I’m only driving to the P.O to mail letters and to the library to return a book. Both from the car, not stepping a foot out in the cold. Brrr 🥶

It's 61f outside right now which feels nice. HOWEVER, the sheriff's office just posted a freeze watch for the area until midnight the 24th. A reminder, my area is subtropics. Freeze watch here is similar to travel advisory in the north.

Farmers near me have crews in the fields picking everything they can. If the fruit/veggies freeze they will lose their crops. I'm so glad my income is not dependent on the whims of Mother Nature. Sending positive energy to the farmers hit by Hurricane Ian. I know life is not fair, but two major hits in one growing season just isn't.
