Are any of you affected by this? Are you heeding the warnings?

I live in Michigan and appreciate the information but I'm still going to go about my day (a la go running after work and spend some time outdoors).

There is some haze in the air but I saw this last week as well from these fires.

Friends of mine are keeping their kids indoors to play, as their daughter has asthma. They live in Eastern Ontario.

They did venture out for ice cream, however.

I keep the AC on all the time instead of opening the windows. I’ve no lung problems but it makes me cough when I’m out in it.

I have asthma and got pretty winded and a little wheezy even wearing a mask when I took the trash down to the road and walked back (total of 1/4 mile). Not bad but definitely there. I'm definitely inside for the near future (we are waiting for the wind to change).

I'm in Ottawa, where the air quality is poor. It constantly smells like burning wood.

On Monday the sun was orange. The color was quite pretty.

The poor air doesn't really bother me. When the smoke is thick and it is humid out I do get slight throat irritation though.

There are a lot of fires burning in the Abitibi and Eeyou Istchee regions of Quebec. A family member who lives in one of the First Nations communities told me she couldn't see the sun due to the smoke.

A couple weeks back they told us not to do anything strenuous outside like running for maybe a day or two, but that was it. I went on a sunrise hike and it was gorgeous.

But I'm too far east for it to really affect me now thankfully

Air here is pretty bad. Yesterday you could see the haze in the sky. But it doesn't affect me too much. But I am seriously worried about what will happen as we move into the hotter days of summer.

Ky is covered in the haze & having grown up in So. Calif around brushfires all my life, the smell of smoke is obvious. I have outside work that needs done on my farm especially after the storm we had Sunday night that took down more trees on my farm. I get out a putter around a bit with work but my whole farm needs mowed & that is at least a 4 hour job I don't wantbto be out in the smoke that long

Eskie, what about mowing for about an hour for several days. My tractor and I couldn't handle 4 hours of mowing either because of the heat. It means different height grass in the pasture, but I don't care.

We are far enough south we are not effected by the smoke from Canada, BUT the summer rains have not started yet. That means we are having our own wildfires. Thankfully they've been small and containable.

I will probably do that wbenever it stops raining long enough to dry out the grass a little. The deer love it when I don't mow. Tonight I had an 8pt velvet buck grazing out there. We have had such bad storms the last few weeks & days when not storming I have been busy so will have to do it in smaller increments. Lots of huge downed tree branches to mow around. Right now until the road department comes to clear what fell in the road last weekend . Makes areas of mowing even more challenging
