|
There are active wildfires close to where I live. It's very smoky out and I've been hearing sirens all day. There's evacuations thirty minutes from where I live. I've already lost my home in a wildfire three years ago. I'm freaking out and would like some hugs and prayers.

Hey everyone, today is a much better day! It's very cool and not as smoky or smelly! I even got some cuddles from the neighborhood tabby who is normally too scared to approach people. I gave her some food and water and the crows seem happy to see some grub, too! Let's keep fingers crossed for the next couple pivotal days. Today I should get some favorable winds that will push the smoke and fire away, and the fact it's almost chilly and foggy out is a good, good sign. I am so relieved!

Glad your location is better, LL. Really glad!
We're no better here. Sometimes it feels like there's no difference between day and night, that every day is just one long day...same filthy, stinking air, same weird color, same red sun, same no moon, or tiny glow of orange moon. Haven't seen a star in weeks.
